BGM: RAMAR - Wild Flowers Instrumental
Not since the days of the legendary Blitz Team had such an event occured. Amidst the abandoned and barren plains stood two of the most lethal, refined and feared Zoids ever to walk on the ground of Planet Zi. Sworn enemies since their creation, the two stared at each other, each attempting to anticipate the first move. It seemed as though the two could just put their systems on hold and stay like this forever, until the overseer, the judge, finally ordered the two to initiate the battle. Subaru grabbed the controls with every intent of not letting go, as the Liger bolted forward, daring it's rival to try it's best. Subaru pulled back on the controls and put his companion to the test, expanding the wings of the boosters that would identify his Zoid as the Liger Zero Jager. The Fuhrer responded by drawing it's swords so to speak, making it's way for Subaru with glorious, and downright frightening ferocity. Things were only shaping up at the moment, but quickly started to get serious when the Fuhrer pulled out the big guns, constantly attempting to blast the Jager to the next world. However, to both the surprise of the Fuhrer, it's pilot Shiro, and Subaru, the Liger took control and put itself sidewards under the Buster Claw, bringing the rear into plain view.
"Smooth move, pal. Just don't get too hasty, or you're likely to trip me up." Subaru gave his approval and trust to the Liger as the Berserk Fuhrer rightened itself and pulled off a shot by surprise. The Liger was quickly enraged, almost to the point of ejecting Subaru and taking matters into his own hands. Luckily though, he only made the controls a bit harder to move, as if to signal that he wanted to take this beast down by himself. Before Subaru could notice, he was already speeding forward, with the energy diversion system online. "What's the deal?!" The Liger simply roared with blind fury, and it didn't take long for Kusaragi to realise the Liger's plan. Hitting the throttle, the front claws ignited like a bonfire, as the two Zoids clashed in the true manner of a feral animal.

Thrashing, gnawing, biting, swiping, it was all there for everybody to see. The clinch was on, but without a good grip on the Liger, the Fuhrer just couldn't keep stable. Subaru expected better of the Zoid so feared by the populace. It wasn't the fault of the pilot, instead the Zoid simply lacked the control over it's emotions and abilities to strike at a better vantage point. With the Jager's claws ripping at it's neck, shearing away the armor, the Fuhrer found itself quickly pulled to the ground, the surrounding area vibrating and cratering as a 270+ ton mass of metal sent shockwaves through the battlefield. The bitter nemeses continued to wrestle, with the Fuhrer so damn determined to make it's claws the perfect skewer, instead of trying to get the Liger off. It was unexpected by Subaru however, that the battle would be over so soon, as the Liger yelped in unbelievable trauma, it's spine and side impaled by the Buster Claws, vital wires severed, internal systems crippled and an over-strained core. As the Liger slumped into a heap next to the Fuhrer, Subaru was slammed back into his seat, but noticed the hulking lavender Zoid failed to move. As he regained clear vision, the voice of the judge echoed across the land. "THE BATTLE IS OVER!!!!!! THE BATTLE IS OVER!!!!!! THE WINNER IS......PILOT SUBARU KUSARAGI!!!! Taking instant surprise to the announcement, Subaru popped open the canopy and lept out of the cockpit. The stomach of the Fuhrer was practically disemboweled, a result of some point-blank shells from the Liger's Shock Cannon. He didn't even realise he'd hit the trigger, he'd planned on doing it, but his focus at the time was on keeping the Fuhrer down.
As the judge capsule returned to orbit, Subaru looked to the sky, and quickly noticed a reflection of sunlight rebounding off something falling to the ground. Getting back into the cockpit, he closed the canopy and tried to get an enhanced visual, but by that time, the object was gone. Not a moment later, he picked up a sight of the shattered remains of what appeared to be a container of sorts, plumetting down to the earth. Looking around, Subaru could find no sight of the contents. Then it happened.
The Liger's cockpit screens began to shine, systems returning to full power....and INCREASING. The Liger's body started to regenerate, a swirling whirlwind of dust surrounding the Zoid as Subaru found himself back on his feet. "What the hell??!! Liger, what're you doing?? No response, instead the Liger started to run, just run. The screen went black, replaced by eight glowing green words: "My name is Sakura. Please to meet you."
The Liger found itself back at the transport, and promptly opened it's canopy, leaning down to let Subaru out. Turning to face the Zoid, Subaru took a quick inspection, noticing that the Liger's armor had been fully restored, but not only that, it looked brand new. The Liger soon gave off a flash of light, as a ball of energy catapulted out of the back, landing behind Subaru to reveal a falcon-like figure. About 3 feet high, the Organoid stepped up and gave Subaru a nudge, as if to grab his attention. Subaru turned around and looked down, meeting the charcoal and silver figure with a surprised expression. "Gi, huh? You know, you could have just come up to me, instead of showin' off like that." The orange-eyed bird leapt onto his shoulders, and extended his wings. Taking him by surprise once more, Subaru found himself surrounded in a ball of light, and then opened his eyes to see himself back in the cockpit. The Liger started running once again, as Subaru just let go and slumped into his seat.
"Ah, to hell with it." Subaru opened the comm-link to the transport. "Guys, I'm gonna catch you at the base later."
