Title: Only One

Captain Stalin - July 14, 2004 10:56 PM (GMT)
Say meteors fell from the sky which contained Zoids....just out of the blue it happened. That would make Zoids real. Assuming this far fetched idea, which Zoid would you realistically pilot? Why? With what mods? etc...

As for me, I think I would choose a Gun Sniper with CP-13 Wild Weasel Unit because it is a strictly long-range Zoid and I would rather fancy trying to fix a shot Zoid opposed to one sliced in half. Also, my skills lean towards sniping and sneaking around...as well as being a loner for most things.

If not a Gun Sniper, most likely a Gojulas Giga with CP-10 Twin Republic Super Cannons because the Giga is:

A. Better looking than the Gojulas
B. Faster than the Gojulas
C. More maneuverable than the Gojulas
D. Just plain cool

Cyrus Wagner - July 14, 2004 11:42 PM (GMT)
Dark Spiner MC type. 144mm machine guns, rather high maneuverability for a biped, and the pure badassity of it.

WolfeFuzze - July 15, 2004 02:34 PM (GMT)
I'd probably go for one of the two I'm piloting here...

MystickSkye - July 16, 2004 12:45 AM (GMT)
Duh, genobreaker. Kick ass all over the place.

....and I don't think the giga can mount the CP-10s.

Crimson - July 16, 2004 12:53 AM (GMT)
No zoid is unbeatable. Infact, my Shadow Fox can take down the Death Saurer. Just sneak inbetween its legs where no weapons can fire, keep out from getting squashed, and make a hole with the vulcan gun, then get inside the deathsurer and SLC the inside to bits.

Well, in other words, my Shadow Fox witht eh Cannonary Unit. Go into stealth, then one shot, one kill.

You're way in over your head. o-o A Death Saurer could pwn a Shadow Fox easily.

Nick - July 16, 2004 12:58 AM (GMT)
I'd take a Liger Zero w/ all of the CAS thingies.

MystickSkye - July 16, 2004 12:59 AM (GMT)
That just now, is probably one of the stupidest thins I've heard o.o

A single shadow fox has about as much chance of beating the deathsaurer as a delegged genosaurer beating it. The Deathsaurer attacked a base, wiped out the entire opposing army (made up of Gojulas and other powerful Republican zoids) and reduced the base to nothing.

It's true that no zoid is unbeatable, but you overestimate your ability, and underestimate the deathsaurer. Your SLC would probably put a few shallow scratches in it's armour at most from in between it's legs.

The model can mount it and that's about as official as it can get.

Also, I am talking about realistically attaining the Zoid you choose as well. Odds are there wouldn't be Geno Breakers or Liger Zeros just sitting around.

Crimson - July 16, 2004 01:06 AM (GMT)
With cover fire, and smoke, a Shadow Fox can sneak under, and with its agility, it can keep from getting squished. Take the time to shoot one spot to make a hole. It would take some time, but the only thing you would have to worry about is the feet, and with agility, the feet are not as much of a concern. With a zoid as big as that thing, Stealth can get the Fox in, and agility to stay in to finish it. Take a long time, yeah, but can do it, lol.

Bull-fucking-shit. The Shadow Fox would be reduced to nothing by the CPG in seconds, plus, no pilot using the Death Saurer would be fucktarded enough to just let a Shadow Fox go under it. o_o

You quoted the giga which is just as rare as the Breaker O.o

And I wasn't sure of the CP-10's, I knew it could mount the Buster Cannons but I wasn't sure of the CP-10s.

As for the Fox. There is actually no way you could hide, the Deathsaurer hasadvanced sensory systems so you can't hide o.o And you can't take time against the Deathsaurer. It's CPG works on the basis of "point in a general direction and everything dies".

Captain Stalin - July 16, 2004 01:13 AM (GMT)
Ultrasaurus, Mad Thunder, Death Stinger, Death Saurer, etc. By the time one in a standard Zoid would get close enough to return fire, one would already be dead.

I know the Giga's rare as all hell but it's like wanting to bang a celebrity...You want to but it is just unattainable.

MystickSkye - July 16, 2004 01:17 AM (GMT)
Actually with the Mad Thunder it's more "run up to you and stomp/drill/burn you to death" o.o

Captain Stalin - July 16, 2004 01:21 AM (GMT)
Oh well, everyone would still die. :ph43r:

Sups - July 16, 2004 01:27 AM (GMT)
Mad Thunder so I could blow up California, along with Cain. :P

Also, do you know how long it would take to blow up the Death Saurer's armor? o.o

Mad Thunder isn't all that good at making things blow up. If you want that, chose either any of the Imperial mega zoids or the Ultrasaurus. If you'd really want to blow things up, I'd have to say the Seismo as it's got the most powerful CPG ever. Typical really, the Zenevas were the ones who built the Deathsaurer in the first place.

Captain Stalin - July 16, 2004 02:38 AM (GMT)
Siesmosaurus rules...pretty much invincible (emphasis on pretty much)...That would make a good everyone versus battle....

The only Zoid the Republic has going for pure urban destruction would be the King Gojulas.

MystickSkye - July 16, 2004 03:09 AM (GMT)
The Republic also has the giga who's superweapon is stronger than the Deathsaurer's CPG. Only downside is that it kills the zoid >_>

Captain Stalin - July 16, 2004 03:12 AM (GMT)
 Super Weapon on the Giga? Eh?

MystickSkye - July 16, 2004 03:41 AM (GMT)
The giga Gojulas has a superweapon along with it's anti-charge armour that's capable of blowing a CPG back. All 32 spines are needed and it drains the core completely of energy.

Captain Stalin - July 16, 2004 03:46 AM (GMT)
Interesting....I could see myself using that...Well, maybe not and maybe if I had kept the Gojulas to evolve and maybe if the Giga was actually listed in an up-to-date list....but then again, killing a Zoid of the Giga's class would be a shame but seeing as how I've self-destructed in the last two of three UO battles on MMM, I wouldn't put it past myself.

Kamikazee style. That seems utterly insane from a militaristicly tactical standpoint....same with the Konig Wolf overheating after two rounds (less than one minute of combat) once its fan is taken out. If I was a supervisor, I wouldn't have let the Konig pass until it would be able to atleast last a few hours to days with a fan taken out before overheating.

Random Zoid Stuff -

Gairyuki. Those orange transparent panels are supposedly particle absorbing. I always thought that it would be able to absorb a CPG shot and use it to power its own CPG but I don't know if that is correct.

MystickSkye - July 16, 2004 11:32 PM (GMT)
First off, we know about the Gairyuki, well at least I do >_> The panels absorb energy weapons which was implemented so as to defeat the Seismosaurus.

Secondly, the Konig Wolf bit was only implement as if we had made the Konig Wolf overhet normal, it wouldn't actually come into play in zoid battles at all. Same reason why a CPG on a geno only takes about three seconds to fully charge up.

Captain Stalin - July 16, 2004 11:37 PM (GMT)
Makes sense.

Crimson - July 16, 2004 11:42 PM (GMT)
Where are ya'll pulling these things out from? Lol, i am not that big in zoids, all I have seen was the death saurer thing, and the Liger Zero, and some of Zoids Fuzors, but really, I am not that into this as ya;ll, how many defferent serieseseseses are there?

Official info and common sense. o_o

Captain Stalin - July 17, 2004 12:34 AM (GMT)
The seasons are as follows: Chaotic Century, Guardian Force, New Century Zero, Fuzors.

Crimson - July 17, 2004 12:44 AM (GMT)
Then I must have missed out on alot of episodes one some because those mega Zoids I have never heard of, just Death Saurer and Death Stinger.

Master Of The Wolves - August 5, 2004 06:11 AM (GMT)
Id take the only zoid that is the best The Matrix Dragon :ph43r: :ph43r: :ph43r:

Its odd your conversations have long passed but yet the animations continue thorught the years, it is perfercly perserved an will forever go on never stoping, never skiping an action. Makes you think dosent it.

Subaru - August 5, 2004 06:36 AM (GMT)
WTF????

Anyways, since the Liger Zero most likely wouldn't be simply running around the place, the base Zoid I would try and buy would have to be a Command Wolf. From there, I'd work my way up to mounting the CP-03 or CP-04, and then step up to a Lightning Saix, Konig Wolf or Shadow Fox.

I know the topic says "Only One", but it's so hard to choose.

Captain Stalin - August 5, 2004 12:50 PM (GMT)
It is hard to choose. I recently compiled a list of all the Zoids I would reallistically want and be capable of piloting...all cat types were pretty much Xed, same with all aerial Zoids. Basically, it went something like this:

Iron Kong
Heldigunner
Konig Wolf
Hammer Head
War Shark
Gojulas (Giga)
Gun Sniper
Snipe Master
Geno Saurer
Elephander

And of those I could not pick a single one without wanting atleast one more. If I had to choose one, it would be the Gun Sniper. Then probably either the Kong, Saurer or Elephander. Then the Hammer Head or War Shark. So in all actuallity, I can pick three Zoids. Gun Sniper, Elephander, Hammer Head....and then I still want the others...

Alex Carrigan - August 15, 2004 07:34 PM (GMT)
Lessee...well, if I could only choose one Zoid...*thinks*

Aw, hell, who am I fooling? Molga all the way. Makes a great daily driver, cruise to work and pick the kids up after school. Not to mention that carpool lines would be a moot point when the cars saw you coming.

Other than that, I wouldn't mind a Sinker. It's fun, it's sporty, and it can move fast as hell as well as go over *any* terrain.

Basically, my list of Zoids, from most attainable to least:

Molga
Sinker
Maccurtis
Gun Sniper
Redler
Hammerhead
Battle Cougar

Remember, we all don't have to pick a Liger/Canine/Saurer type...that would just be boring.

Gabriel Antilles - August 18, 2004 12:27 AM (GMT)
I'd love to see a Raynos plopped on my front lawn. :D

Other than that, a Sinker, Elephander, or Saix would be good.
