The Guardian Force existed for only a brief time between the end of the Helic-Guylos conflict and the beginning of the Neo-Zenebas conquests but in that small span of time it had accomplished a lot. The Guardian Force is by far the most well-known, non-governing body ever to exist on Zi. It laid the groundwork for the modern peacekeeping organization and has been an inspiration to all.

The Guardian Force began as a small organization led by both Helic and Guylos military officers. Unlike the future Peacekeeping Organization the Guardian Force was divided between Guylos and Helic sides. Afterall, they had been at war only recently and making friendships between them would be a hard endeavor. Still, they tried and as a result the Guylos Empire and Helic Republic never went to war with each other again.

One can't speak of the story of the Guardian Force without going into detail about the story of one of the Guardian Force's top members, Van Freiheit. Van Freiheit had helped defeat Prozen and his Death Saurer at the tail-end of the Helic-Guylos War and four years after the Death Saurer's defeat, this young Blade Liger pilot passed the final test to become a fully-equipped and active Guardian Force pilot.

Meanwhile, a friend of Van's, the young girl, Alyssi Lynnett, also known by some as Fiona, had been working with the famous Dr.D to uncover Zoid Eve. This 4 year long archeological project had uncovered a few clues but nothing definite.

It is at this time of relative calm that the beginnings of a major conflict surface. The young, new Guylos Emperor informs the Helic President that an underground Zoid has been attacking Imperial bases and had entered Republican territory recently. Later identified by Pteras scouts as a Stealth Viper, the Zoid begins an attack on the Wind Colony. Van, who had returned to the area to visit his sister, battles and defeats the Stealth Viper. However, the truly important discoveries of this encounter would not be apparent until later. During this event Van had met the man Hiltz. Hiltz's powerful red organoid, Ambien, is also first sighted at this time.

As time goes on, Hiltz and his allies, Reise and Raven, continue to terrorize both Imperial and Republican bases and several times go into battle with Van and his Guardian Force friends.

Eventually, Hiltz unleashes a super-sized, super-powered version of the Death Stinger upon the world. Coupled with Raven's new Geno Breaker and the Guardian Force, through several defeats is rendered nearly powerless.

The fighting continued on as Hiltz and hs Death Stinger took off in his Hammer Kaiser into the high skies, safe from the typical flyers of the time. The Death Stinger used it's charged particle gun and annihilated an entire city. It was the first tragedy of that magnitude in several years. While Van fought Hiltz's men with some allied troops two brave men, a mercenary named Irvine and an Imperial soldier named Thomas Schubaltz, younger brother of the famed Karl Schubaltz, piloted a pair of modified Storm Sworders to intercept the Hammer Kaiser. Before the Death Stinger could destroy New Helic City, the capitol of the Republic, the pair of Storm Sworders attack and slice apart the Hammer Kaiser, causing it to drop back onto Earth in a stupendous crash.

However, Hiltz doesn't relent and his Death Stinger begins a quick trek across land, water, underground, and even in lava, to reach New Helic City. The city is evacuated and the Death Stinger, using the lava flow beneath the city, erupts from the ground and attacks. The Imperial and Republican troops fight against it but are no match for the mutated Death Stinger and retreat to a nearby lake. Even Hiltz's former allies, Raven and Reise, seeking retribution, arrive and attack him but are themselves defeated. With his charged particle gun, Hiltz finally destroyed the city.

With New Helic City in ruins the Imperial and Republican troops drain the nearby lake to reveal their ultimate secret weapon, an extra-large, new-type Ultrasaurus. But the biggest surprise was the Gravity Cannon they planned to equip to the Ultrasaurus.

To avoid one of the Death Stinger's charged particle attacks the Ultrasaurus dives into the sea and the Death Stinger soon follows. They continue fighting and eventually the Ultrasaurus is equipped with the gravity cannon.

After several precious shells are fired from the Gravity Cannon the Death Stinger is finally subdued. At the time it appeared as if the conflict was over, but... it wasn't.

Through a miracle performed by Hitlz's red organoid the Death Stinger recovered and after temporarily downing the Ultrasaurus, burrowed out of sight. In a similar miracle-ish way, the young Zoidian Alyssi Lynnett had dissapeared too. According to her story she had been taken to the site of Zoid Eve by the Dark Kaiser, a mix between Gunter Prozen and the intelligent Death Saurer Zoid core. Like all Zoids the Death Saurer has a mind of it's own and an evil to match it's power and coupled with Prozen's aspirations of world domination and you have a vicious being, Little is really known about this Dark Kaiser but apparently he attempted to resurrect the True Death Saurer using Zoid Eve. The True Death Saurer is much larger and more powerful than the standard Death Saurers employed by the Imperial forces before. However, it wasn't until Hiltz had the Death Stinger fuse with the Death Saurer and imprisoned the Dark Kaiser fully into the new Zoid Core that the True Death Saurer was fully resurrected and in Hiltz's direct control. Since then, research has revealed Hiltz was an ancient Zoidian and that is how he was able to bond with Death Saurer directly and still maintain control over the Zoid.

Regardless of how it happened the True Death Saurer, responsible for the destruction of an entire race of ancient people, was now rampaging the ancient metropolitan ruins surrounding Zoid Eve and the combined Imperial-Republican armies led by the Guardian Force now confronted it. Hundreds of Dark Horns, Saber Tigers, dozens of Whale Kings, and even the Ultrasaurus, Geno Breaker, and Blade Liger were deployed.

Ultimately, through the brave actions of the criminal Raven, the Guardian Force pilot Van, and the power of the Gravity Cannon, the Death Saurer was defeated before it could destroy everything on the planet. Though it still managed to do quite a bit of worldwide damage using the gravity ring and charged particle gun.

In the aftermath of the conflict the Guardian Force was put to work to clean up the bandits and troublemakers still roaming about though, coincidentally, Raven had escaped justice and was never to be found again. The Helic Republic, for what was probably the second or third time, had to rebuild New Helic City. The Guylos Empire also had to rebuild and recover from the hardships brought on by the conflict with Hiltz.

The story of Van essentially ends there but the Guardian Force's story doesn't. The Guardian Force would remain for several more years until a new threat resurfaced to destroy it and everything they held dear.
