Title: Disaster from Above
Description: Detailed History of Zi Page 2

Mary - April 26, 2004 07:38 AM (GMT)
Distressed by the Helic Republic's victory over the Zenebas Empire for control of the Central Continent and seeing the potential threat of a united Central Continent the Guylos Empire decided to take things into their own hands. After absorbing the remaining Zenebas army into their own army, the Guylos Empire declares war upon the Helic Republic on the same year the Zenebas capital fell to the Republican forces.

However, the group to make the first attacking blow was the Helic Republic. Led by the many Mad Thunder Mark II units, the republic forces invaded the shores of the Dark Continent and establish a sort of stronghold. However, they are confronted by new and more powerful Guylos Zoids led by the insanely powerful flying monster Gilvader. In just 2 years the Guylos Empire managed to retake all the ground they had lost to the Helic Republic. In an effort to regain that lost ground the Helic Republic builds it's most menacing Zoid yet, the ultimate King Gojulas. Just as the King Gojulas and the Republican forces are about to confront the Gilvader and the combined Guylos/Zenebas forces 6 years after the beginning of this war, disaster strikes from above.

A devastating meteorite collides with Planet Zi and completely obliterates both armies. The land is drastically reshaped. Much of the Dark Continent is submerged into the ocean by a large tsunami and what is left isn't as rich in resources and life as it once was. The Central Continent doesn't fare much better and is split into three smaller sections. Neither the Guylos Empire or the Helic Republic has much of an army anymore and the entire planet of Zi suffered a huge population decrease. War in this severely weakened state is impossible and the fighting ceases without a decisive winner.
