History of Planet Zi

Long after the ancient days of the Zoidians, during what has often been referred to as the Chaotic Century, war was waged between the two countries, the Helic Republic and the Zenebas Empire, on the Central Continent. In no time, the war spread over the ocean and the Guylos Empire from the Dark Continent also joined the war. As time passed, it became a war between the Helic Republic and the Guylos Empire. The Central Continent War became an intercontinental war. However, a comet struck Zi and the Central Continent broke up into three parts. One part of the Dark Continent was submerged under the sea. The war stopped without a decisive winner.

Many years later, to end the war decisively, the Guylos Empire sent a force to the Western Continent to conduct a surprise attack. Because the Triangle Daras was an ocean area with a very strong magnetic field, it could not be crossed. That was why the Empire's forces decided to start by attacking the Western Continent. Realizing this, the Republic also sent forces to the Western Continent. The eastern and western sides of Europa were controlled by the Republic's and Empire's forces, respectively. And so the war continued.

At first the Empire seemed to be winning but overtime the Helic Republic changed the direction of the war and put the Guylos forces on the defensive. Several times they exchanged offensives, each side gaining the upper-hand in little time at all and losing it just as quickly. Eventually the Helic Republic drove the entire Guylos army and fleet out of Northern Europa across the Deldaros Sea back to their homeland of Nyx. After much battle at sea the Helic Republic staged their own invasion of the Dark Continent. It wasn't all too successful and both sides suffered further casualties. Ultimately the two sides ended up joining forces to stop Prozen, the ambitious leader of the PK army, who had attempted to overthrow the Emperor and take control of the Guylos Empire and the rest of the world.

After the defeat of Prozen the two countries met on peaceful terms and agreed to end the war once and for all, signing a lasting peace treaty, beginning an exchange of arms, and establishing the Guardian Force as an international police force to unite the two nations and maintain order throughout the Zi. At first it seemed a dream come true as the Guardian Force managed to maintain peace and stability for several years and even solved the great Death Saurer crisis. But sadly, there was no happy ending for Zi.

Some time after the creation of the Guardian Force, the Neo Zenebas Empire rose up, easily defeating the separate efforts of the Guardian Force, Guylos Empire, and even the Helic Republic. The combined force of the Seismosaurus and Energy Liger, as well as the trechery of the Sturm Tyrann, made the Neo Zenebas army unstoppable. Beruhama, the capitol city of the Guylos Empire, was completely destroyed and the people of the Guylos Empire were scattered throughout Zi. Some joined the Neo Zenebas military. Others worked for the Helic Republic military in a type of resistance movement. The Helic Republic capitol was besieged and fell to the Neo Zenebas Empire as well. The president and most of the Helic Republic forces fled to the Eastern Continent, which until this point had been free of all the war that had waged on the other continents.

For several more years the remnants of the Helic Republic and Guylos Empire fought the Neo Zenebas Empire. 60 years ago, in a final effort to defeat the Neo Zenebas Empire, the Helic Republic and Guylos Empire fully entrusted all their military power to one force, the Peace Keeping Organization. Replacing the old and outdated Guardian Force Zoids with their own custom Zoids and new-type Blox Zoids, the Peace Keeping Organization was able to defeat the evil machinations of the Neo Zenebas Empire and once again established peace and order over Zi. Rather than risk another such incident the PKO did away with all local governments and united the Neo Zenebas, Helic Republic, and Guylos governments in all but name with one world governing body, currently known as the Zi Bureaucracy. And so the world of Zi was united under the rule of the Zi Bureaucracy, which is still in power today. The PeaceKeeping Organization also established the Zoids Battle Commission as a commercial enterprise responsible for holding sanctioned Zoid battles. Many pilots actually think of the laws of the ZBC as higher than anything else even though technically the Zi Bureaucracy is the true government. Like the Zi Bureaucracy, the ZBC still exists today.

Soon afterwards, the PeaceKeeping Organization disbanded. Most either became zoids pilots or joined the army. Many just wanted to move on with their lives...
