Armor Description:
Designed with the express purpose to fight Saberlion, the Guntiger was built more for speed than for strength. It's got rather good armor for it's size though it is much smaller than your average cat Zoid. The armor over the main body is thicker than the armor around the legs so it's pretty obvious the Guntiger relies on agility to avoid damage. Not shown on the common model is a small energy shield that protects the pilot as he rides on the back of the Zoid. It's called the Character Shielding. The addition is standard for all Guntigers and mandatory by the ZBC.
Mobility and Power Source:
The Guntiger behaves roughly like a house cat. It's agile, quick, small, and can be very evasive if it wants. It's about as agile as a Helcat. Meaning, if you get caught, you're in big trouble, so use this Zoid's above-average speed to run and gun. The Guntiger produces a decent amount of power, meaning it's tough to stall it, but constant firing of the AZ105mm may induce a stall.
Rear Warning Radar
Essentially a standard radar that automatically locates stealth Zoids. However, it can only locate them if they are behind the Guntiger. The radar relies on the multi antennae to function.
Ion Booster
On the back of the Guntiger behind the static magnum gun is the ion booster. It provides 30 kilometers per hour of speed and without it the Guntiger runs at a speed of 240 kilometers per hour.
High Frequency Claws
One on the end of each of the Guntiger's legs, these claws have four toes made of a sharp, extra-strength alloy. They vibrate at a high frequency when "charged," making for an increased cutting ability in a tight spot. However, while the system is active, the Guntiger receives a 30 kph speed penalty.
High Frequency Fangs
A pair of relatively long, sharp alloy fangs located in the Guntiger's small jaws. They vibrate at a high frequency when "charged," making for an increased cutting ability in a tight spot.
Multi Antennae
Long, thin antennae located on the Gun Tiger's back, one on either side of the ion booster and somewhat behind the gun barrel. The multi antennae serve to help the rear-warning radar function but they also help to aim the static magnum.
AZ105mm Static Magnum
The namesake of the Guntiger and it's only ranged weapon, this gun is located on the Gun Tiger's back over the neck and behind the head. It can only be fired if the Guntiger's head is ducked down and as such it isn't all that accurate a weapon on it's own, relying on the multi antennae for aiming. The Static Magnum is stronger than most other weapons of it's caliber, firing high-density beam shots that excel at piercing Zoid armor, but the power drain on this small Zoid is so severe that it is suggested not to fire this constantly. Plus, it's locked in a forward facing position.
