Armor Description:
Designed for recon and adapted for heavy assault, the Hound Soldier has some thick, well-constructed armor for its size, covering almost the entire thing. The legs and chest are especially sturdy, sporting extra layers of armor. The back-mounted unit, containing the sensors and boosters, isn't as heavily armored, though, so the Hound is better off facing your enemy to protect it.

Mobility and Power Source:
The Hound, contrary to popular belief, is actually pretty agile. It's about on par with the Shield Liger, so it's able to bound and leap and maneuver around the battlefield with ease. It's no Saber Tiger, but it's an agile, quick Zoid nonetheless. At higher speeds, it sacrifices some of its agility for pure speed, and achieves its best maneuverability below 250 kph. Like any canine, it's got exceptional endurance on par with the Command Wolf, and can run at 260 kph and below for extended periods of time.

Triple 30mm Beam Cannons-
Clustered in a forward-fixed position in the Hound Soldier’s chest are a trio of small-caliber beam cannons. Each one fires 30mm beams in a repeater-like fashion, so between the three of them, you get twenty-four beams per second. They aren't terribly accurate when the Hound's running, but the rate of fire from all three combined makes up for it.

AZ70mm Electromagnetic Net Gun-
Mounted in the tail, rear-facing, the net gun fires a large rocket-propelled canister at an opponent. Once within close proximity the rocket detaches and the canister dissolves, allowing the large net to open up and engulf the enemy Zoid, shocking it a second later. The shock is enough to stun a Zoid for several more seconds, and damage exposed wires and electronics. The range of the rocket-propelled net canister is a full 300 meters but it is only truly accurate and effective at half that distance.

Alloy Face Lances-
These 11-meter long alloy lances are the most powerful melee weapon available to the Hound Soldier. While they can’t charge, they are still very good at what they do. The lances can be flipped back to lay against the Soldier's shoulders, or flipped forward to act as actual lances, complete with large size, long length, and pointy tip. Like the mounted Knight in shining armor that it is, the Hound Soldier could very likely bore through even the toughest of Zoid armor with one top-speed ram. They can't pivot farther down than straight forwards, however.

Boosters-
The gold-painted boosters are the key to the Hound Soldier’s amazing speed. Located on the back, they offer 60 kilometers per hour worth of speed, bringing the Hound Soldier to its amazing top speed of 330 kilometers per hour. Without them, it runs at a pace of 270 kilometers per hour. However, because they can’t pivot much they don’t help at all with agility or turning. Of course, being boosters, they aren't designed to be used constantly, else they'd be thrusters. Overuse of these (more than a six-second burn) will run the risk of damaging them.

Sensory Unit-
The Hound Soldier’s sensory unit is spread between two places. There's a small infrared unit in the mouth, as well as a radar/mapping unit between the booster units. The back unit is a small target, so anything less accurate than a sniper weapon will have a hard time targeting it. While it doesn't improve targeting, it's useful for finding Zoids in otherwise inhospitable terrains.
