Personality
Steve Walsch is more relaxed, and willing to take his time. He prefers to use firepower than melee fight, taking to heart that guns beat swords most of the times. He has seen a bit, and has a job as a history teacher, and is curious about the past as well. He does have a protective streak, especially over Atta, who he regards as a son.
Steve Walsch si able to take jokes, but is also worried about consequences, as his study of history has shown him how mistakes can get out of hand. He also feels responsible to Atta, and is willing to go to some lengths to help keep Atta safe.
He is willing to listen, but has a stubborn streak when it comes to certain things, especially about zoids. He feels that zoids should be kept, and was appalled by the anit zoid laws. Zoids were an important part of Zi’s history. Sure, some were used to kill and destroy, but others were used to defend.

Background
Steve Walsch was born and raised in a town, that I don’t remember the name of at moment, and grew up. Steve was always fascinated by the past, and past events, especially the zooids of the past. Steve did quite well in history courses, and longed to help teach history when he was an adult. When the anti zoid laws were passed, he was a bit saddened. He knew that it was not the zooids fault for being used that way. He felt zoids were machines, but, some of them did seem to be alive as well, which was interesting.


Steve finished school, and moved on to college, where he majored in history. HE met Jessica there, and dated a while, although nothing really happened at the moment, both of them figuring they were too young. Steve eventually graduated from college as a history major. When the anti -zoid laws were repealed in the Republic, Steve tried zoid battling as a hobby, although he first decided to test out the simulators before choosing a zoid. He eventually learned that melee combat was not his thing, and prepared the ranged combatants, especially the gordos, with the ability to help out its team mates.

During this time, he read up about Zis history, learned at much as he could about the zooids, and was introduced to Mark Zwei while he was young, by Steve;s Friend, Juanon Zwei, who was a friend. He later on met up with Jessicia and eventually mairred her, although no kids came about.

Steve also had another habit he indulged in, and that was recovering data from old zoids. On one of these trips, Steve bought a shield liger that had been discovered in a cave out in the desert, where there were rumors of a phantom zoid out there. Steve bought the zoid, which looked old and battered, almost like a relic from the time of the war and the blitz team even. Steve was hoping that the memory banks of the Shield liger might shed some light on the past.

Instead of information, Steve got more questions, as the zoid he bought proved to be sentient and alive. Steve was both confused and a bit excited by this. He considered briefly about letting the authorities now, then stopped. The zoid wars were still recent, and he was afraid what people might do to a sentient zoid. He decided to keep that shield Liger, named Atta, a secret for now, and to raise him. Jessica Walsch also agreed with his ideas. Mark Zwei, now a police officer, was let in on the secret and allowed to help. They figured that letting Atta do zoid battle might help their cause when they finally revealed Atta to the public.


Appearance
50 year old male. Blue eyes admist a weathered face. Has a bit of a pale complication thanks to his staying inside and reading books instead of being outside. Steve stands 5 feet 10 inches, and about 170 pounds. He his hands have some calluses, but not many. His hair is short and black, with a hint of thinning. He prefers to wear comfortable clo0thes, although he also has teacher’s gear and formal wear for when he needs them.
