Im new to the site, i guess you could consider me the typical n00b i was wondering how do i get started and do i have to purchase my zoids after i do get started

Okay, first, read the Board Rules thread thoroughly, it's in the Rules and Guides forum. That'll give you a good idea of what the basic idea is. Then, I'd advise going to the Pilots Apps and List forum and reading the pinned threads called Site Timeline, Sol's Guide to Character Creation and probably Note: Please Read as well.

Once you've done all that, all you have to do is write a good, solid bio for us. Just follow the rules set out in the rules thread, and use Sol's character guide. Then post it in the Pilot Apps forum, and the qualified among us, namely Sol and Alex I guess, will come and read it. Then they'll give you some helpful critisim on what needs to be adjusted to get to the level of quality MC:CAN demands. After that, you'll get some money and yes, you use that to buy your Zoid, though your first Zoid is only half price.

It's only half price if you buy it from the ZBC. If you buy it from the Junkyard, there's no half price.
