Character's Name: Thalomin Vladeus Daevonicus
Character's Gender: Male
Character's Age: 31
Character's Nationality: Imperial
Character's Zoid: ((Classified))
Contact: ShadowLance18
Character's Personality: Good, evil, law, chaos; these are all pointless and meaningless aspects that are required by the weak. Power is the only solution in this world and age. For it is power that decrees what happens. Governments are merely figureheads having no power. True power derives from the drive of an individual. Yeah in otherwords Thalomin is one nasty son of a bitch who will do anything necessary to maintain his personal power. A jaded personality he doesn't allow such trivial things as morals, laws, and conscious to stand in his way. These are pointless and useless anyways. He is cold and detached in what he does, using everything he has in his arsenal to bring any asshole foolish enough to get in his way. He has no qualms about using a person's weaknesses to full advantage and dragging in people that they consider valuable. For if they were stupid enough to allow it why shouldn't Thalomin exploit it?
Character's Description: Standing at an imposing 6 ft 4 inches, Thalomin gets the prickish joy in looking down with an arrogant gaze at anyone else. He carries himself with a confident air that sends weaker men whimpering if he turns his attention to them. Imperialistic face well-suited to rulership he has the looks that women would die to have in a partner. His body is well-muscled and he has no qualms about shoving someone's face through a table rather then reaching for a gun. After all it's much more satisfying in punishing someone with your bare hands. He wears a dark gray leather vest with a silk black shirt each of them having silver trim at the edges. He wears black slacks that are a tough material but have a similar coloring to the shirt. Silver trim highlights it and all of Thalomin's clothes are loose enough to where he can fight. There are weapons well-concealed on his person and he wears a Double-Barrell Glock 24L Automatic Heavy Predator .84 Calibre on a holster on his left side. The size of the gun is enough to send others scurrying as it can use a variety of ammo rounds.
Character's History: I dare you to try and figure that one out!
. . .
I dare you to write it.
"Oh, bloody 'ell, wot's with all these Imperial wannabes struttin' around loik they owns everythin' an' wantin' us women to bow down afore 'em, bloody rotter of a man -"
Wait, how'd you get in here? Dammit, Ivy, I'm trying to review a bio here - off with you!
"All right, I'm cool. I'm cool. Sorry about that, boss."
Sorry about that - Ivy's just a little patriotic, wants to make sure her fellow Imperials are up to snuff. My characters generally don't get into the bio critiques O_o
I can see a potential problem in the execution of this character, when/if he gets approved: He carries himself with a confident air that sends weaker men whimpering if he turns his attention to them. This sort of thing rides the edge of godmodding, in this case defined as telling someone how to play their character. It's perfectly acceptable to have an imposing character, but actually telling PCs how to react to you is an entirely different animal.
Something I learned on MMM is that true badassitude isn't written in the bio from the start, but earned via RPing. Many "imposing villain" types came and went on MMM, but can you really recall more than a handful (or more than one or two, really) that were more than puffed-up Freudian delusions? Big Al comes to mind as an example of the "right" way to do things - his Paris character never had a bio approved by the MMM staff, yet is without question the most badass on that site. Thalomin probably won't start off on Paris' level - he'll have to earn it in creative ways. If you're up to this paramount of challenges, then by all means go for it.
On a side note, how many smug imposing types do we have now? This guy, Valen, Stryker...damn, I need to jump on the bandwagon! :P
Hey hey hey, Stryker came first and did it right. Hell, he did it without even being in the room. (IE: The right way, when all it takes is a single shot to kill ya.)
