Mark was relieved. Atta had recovered nicely form the CSF, and Atta reported the diagnostics had revelaed nothing serious.

The hard part now was to practice workign together, which was provign to be difficult, which Mark learned hwen he tried to pilot.
"No Mark. I drive. You can gun, but I am driving." Atta, nedless ot say, was not at all willing to give up control of himself.
"Atta, come on. You can handle the guns and the other parts. "
"Would you let someone else walk your body for you?"
"No, but.."
"Then it is settled, I drive, you gun."

They practiced, although the results were not pretty to say the least. Although Mark handled hte turreted 20mm cannons, He had trobule hitting spots designated as a target since he could not predict what Atta would do. Atta did not help as he was doing random evasions, in what he said was to simulate a true battle adn where the two teaming would be the most effective.
"Come on Atta. Surely there must be some way to let me know which way you will go."
"Under COmbat there will be no good way to let you know without breakign your concentration form gunnery."
"But I can;t hit well when you dodge now."
"Then we have to get better."
"That could take ages!"
"So, if it takes that long, it takes that long."

Needless to say, the practice was not going that well.

After a frustrating time of trianing and practicing, in which not much improved, it was called quits. Atta still refused to let Mark pilot, although had agreed in another zoid, he would be willing to let Mark pilot, but, as Atta put it.

"The Shield Liger is my BODY. I pilot it, not you."

Needless to say, even with a gamma unit, as a team of zoid and pilot they were poor, very poor at working together, but then again, with two different personalities, what would you expect?
Mark and Atta headed back to the base of Teamsilverhammer, where Mark's new CWIC had come in, to look it over and discuss new tactics.
