Design Notes: Commissioned by the Helic Republic two divisions within Vector Industries competed for the contract. Both submitted powerful designs one calling theirs the Catapult and the other calling theirs the Maruader. Both focused on their own aspects the Cat on the missile bombardment and the Marauder on it's new and shiney arm cannons. Both designs were loved by the administration in Vector and were eventually combined to create the Mad Cat Assault Special pack. Two groups dreams, of turning a single unknown zoid, into a deadly killing machine.

Armor Description:
The Aro Saurer was designed by the Republic to battle the Death Saurer, thus, it has fairly good armor and coverage to boot. Its armor is quite strong for its size and with full coverage, it can hold it's own against Zoids far bigger than itself. It's about equivalent to the material used on the Spinosapper's armor, though there isn't quite as much of it.

Mobility and Power Source:
The Aro Saurer, designed for urban combat, has a good deal of mobility and agility without a whole lot of overall top speed. Don't let that below-average top speed fool you, the Aro Saurer is quick for being a 71-ton block of metal and can turn around fast. It runs in a manner not unlike a velociraptor, with its spine parallel to the ground for maximum quickness. It loses out on pure endurance, though, compounded by the fact that all of its weaponry is energy-intensive. Judicious use of your raw power is the order of the day in this Zoid. However with the M.C.A.S upgrade the Aro Saurer's core was tweaked to give it heavier endurance and longer fighting ability. Through this the Aro Saurer can fight longer and last longer in a brawl even when taking itself to the limit.

Equipment:
Electron Bite Fangs
Within the Aro Saurer's mouth there are rows of razor sharp teeth that can be used as nasty close quarters weapons. Additionally, they can be charged with electric energy for shock damage to go with the physical damage. Its teeth may be sharp, but they aren't particularly enormous, and thus aren't as effective as some other zoid's teeth, but they can get the job done. This delivers a drain on the Aro Saurer's power supply, so it's best to use it sparingly.

Repeater Dual-Barrel 40mm Autocannons x2
Located on the Aro Saurer's shoulders, right behind its arms, are a pair of average autocannons. Being a rather medium, and having a five second per cannon per second rate of fire, these cannons are quite adept at blasting away armor. Being that they're autocannons they have little effect on the core.

Smash-Up Tail
The Aro's tail is more than capable of being used as a melee weapon. Though it isn't the strongest or biggest of tails, it still does it's job quite well. Perfect for tail whacks, creative pilots could use this in melee quite well.

J.C.U.D. Cannon x2
These cannons required a complete replacement of the Aro Saurer arm assembly as new turbo chargers had to be outfitted as well as new barrells and recoil dampeners. They function similarily to the CP-05 however the beam is smaller and more compact. This results in a tough nasty ass hit rather then the overall devestation the original CP-05 caused. Being hit by these guns hurt the impact itself is brutally painful. The guns carry a respectable one shot per three second rate of fire as they require a small-chargeup time. Cooling jackets were placed over the barrells to keep overheating from being a problem. Direct hits from both guns can result in possible stunning due to the powerful impact.

60mm Heavy Machinegun x2
Mounted on the side of each shoulder is two new weapons. Heavy Machineguns. Each gun being roughly 60mm in calibre they are on special mounts to give them 30 degree verticle inclination. As their name suggests they favor heavier impact rate and accuracy over firing rate and only maintain eight shots a second apiece. Other then that they are cut and dry simple machineguns.

AZ Micro Missile Pod x2
Mounted on the back of the Aro Saurer are now two sleek ten-rack missile launchers each one carrying ten missile apiece. AZ as their name suggests these missiles fire basically on the stance of the Aro. If it's in Grapple Mode they fire in a verticle pattern. If it's in Pursuit Mode they fire like normal missiles do. Other then that there is nothing real special about them save they can work against any target.

Jump Jets
Somewhere the design teams had an apoplyptic giggle at the thought of giving the Aro Saurer the ability to jump. And jump it did. Propellent fuels send this little raptor to jumps of up to an amazing thirty meters meaning the little guy can now do death from above manuevers. The possibilites are endless and of course evil.

Enhanced Targeting Unit
Replacing the standard targeting system is new and improved target units designed to give the Aro Saurer faster locking time and higher accuracy. In addition this unit provides IR Scanning, long-range RADAR, Night Vision for it's pilot. Accuracy boost is roughly 10%.
