Armour Description:
The Grounchar has relatively good armour all over it, covering everything except the array of spines on the back and the drills on the legs. The quality and thickness is about equivalent to that of the Rev Raptor, designed mostly for repelling small-arms fire. The structure is of average strength, though the legs are stronger than normal, due to having the folding ability and the drills on them.

Mobility and Power Source:
The Grounchar is not particularly agile above ground, as it’s pretty much designed solely for underground work. To that end, the Grounchar can dig as far as a hundred meters down and can maneuver better than any other burrower in any sort of environment. It is able to travel through sand and soft dirt at about 90 km/h, while it can bore through rock and the like at around 70 km/h. The Grounchar doesn’t have a very powerful core at all, really only enough to run the Jamming Spines constantly plus a little extra to power the weapons on occasion. It is by no means designed to use them all at once.

Equipment

Hyper Killer Claws
The Grounchar has very long claws at the ends of its feet, and these claws are monomolecular-edged razors that can tear through material as well as any form of charged weaponry, though they’re a little difficult to use.

Tunnelling Drill x4
Mounted on the four shoulders of the Grounchar’s legs are a set of drills that point out sideways. They are rather blender-like in design, rather than the pointed sort of Archimedes drills you might expect. They can be used to grind into Zoid armour with some effect, but they are much more useful for burrowing. The legs of the Groundchar can actually fold in to touch the belly, which in turn points the drills straight down, perfect for burrowing.

Laser Sword x3
On the back of the Grounchar are three rows of red spikes, each row possessing eight spines. These spines move back and forth in a sawing motion when activated and charge with laser energy similar to the Strike Laser Claw of the Liger Zero to assist with burrowing. However, they are quite effective at sawing through Zoid armour too, and the low height of the Grounchar means it is quite able to open up gaping wounds in the stomachs of most Zoids.

AZ Pulse Laser Cannon x2
Mounted to either side of the Grounchar’s face is a small cannon that fires a flurry of around seventy five AZ15mm lasers in a single second burst, allowing the Grounchar to rack up some formidable penetration power and destructive force with this weapon. However, it’s not recommended to fire it too much, no more than two-second bursts with a second to cool, due to overheating and energy issues. It points where the head faces.

AZ Triple Laser Cannon
Mounted on the rear of the Grounchar, pointing backwards, are three laser cannons designed to prevent Zoids from following the Grounchar while its underground. The cannons are angled up at about twenty degrees and each fire two AZ30mm lasers per second.

Electronic Jamming Spines
The twenty four spine on the Laser Swords have a second, more important purpose. When they are being used in Jamming mode, they don’t move, nor charge with laser energy, but they generate a field out to a kilometre that massively distorts and interferes with radio signals within the radius. They also completely flood IR and Radar sensory equipment, making it difficult to detect anything while a Grounchar is around. Most interestingly, they also disrupt the formation of shield matrices within a two hundred meter radius, causing shields within that area to simply stop functioning.
