Armour Description:
The Thundercannon has the best armour of the three Transfuzors, sporting armour on par with a Shield Liger, though there’s a lot less of it of course, due to the Zoid being so small. It has excellent coverage though, with pretty much no spots left unarmoured. The structure is as tough as can be expected from such a small Zoid. It’s pretty much the smallest Tankzoid you’ll find in common use today.

Mobility and Power Source:
Thundercannon is not at all manoeuvrable, with wide stumpy legs and a slow top speed. It can make good turns when stationary, but on the move is a lumbering tank. The core of the Thundercannon is rather weak, so it’s a good thing the top speed and main cannons don’t really draw much, if any, power from the core. It takes along time for the Thundercannon to recover once exhausted.

Equipment:

Dual Large-Bore Cannons
Attached to the flanks of the Thundercannon are moveable pylons like those on the Shield Liger, and these mount the Large-Bore Cannons. They really are very big, running over the front legs and sticking far out in front of the Thundercannon, looking a lot like the top pair of horns on a triceratops. The cannons run under the laser shield array and are basically long range AZ104mm Shock Cannons. They fire the highly explosive shock rounds with great effectiveness, once per second each. The range of these cannons is roughly 750 meters, so they’re good, solid weapons. They are forward facing, so rely on the Thundercannon’s turning to utilize them.

All-Weather 3D Radar System
As the third Transfuzor, Thundercannon sports some useful utilities the others didn’t have, such as this system. It’s installed within the back of the Thundercannon, under a golden-coloured protective armour hood. It’s a standard sort of radar, effective out to three kilometres, but has the added ability of not being affected by adverse weather conditions. When in weapon mode, the Zoid linked to this can utilize this system.

Laser Shield
The Thundercannon has a golden neck frill made of the same armour as the rest of the body, and this frill is the Laser Shield Generator. When activated it creates an invisible E-shield system that blocks tightly focused organised light wavelengths, i.e. lasers. The shield covers the front of the Thundercannon and has no effect on explosives or projectile weapons. Any beams passing through the shield lose their laser encapsulation, spraying out in a burst over the generalized area of the Thundercannon’s front.

Anti-Air Beam Cannon x2
When the Thundercannon goes into weapon mode and the pylons swing down to the side, small AA beam cannons are revealed as they pop out from that area the pylons were covering and flip to point upwards. The cannons are AZ15mm, and fire five shots per second each. They point directly up, but can move forward and back about 20 degrees.

Weapon Mode
Taking data collected from the previous Transfuzors, the Thundercannon incorporates a system to move the main weapons away from the center of the body, as this generally means the head of the Zoid they combine with is in the way of firing. To trigger weapon mode, there must be no pilot in the Thundercannon, and then the Laser Shield frill flips horizontal, the pylons drop to the sides, moving the Large-Bore Cannons out by about three meters each, the AA Beam Cannons pop out, and then the Laser Shield frill pops back into its position, ready to be utilized by the host Zoid. The Thundercannon is generally seen as the most powerful Transfuzor in Weapon Mode, due to the two utilities and the system that moves the cannons.
