Named after the Mayan serpent god, the Quetzalcoatl Units is a series of fourteen Magnessors installed underneath the zoid’s armor. Every segment save the head has two, and the core segment has four. The magnessors are angled sixty degrees to the right and to the left, allowing the zoid maneuverability much like that of the Sinker. It moves about much like a helicopter, even capable of VTOL. The Viper moves forwards and side to side by twisting its body, just like if it were resting on the ground because in affect it is resting on the ground – just with magnessors forming support pylons. Each magnessor has a battery with roughly twelve seconds’ worth of flight time on it. Afterwards the magnessors draw upon the core, which can supply them for another six seconds before the Viper is unduly fatigued. It takes eighteen seconds for the core to recharge the batteries.
