Armor Description:
The Raynos doesn't have much in the way of armor. It's a fighter, a small one that relies more on agility and speed than defense. It's towards the lower end of the aerials, below the Storm Sworder, Redler, Quama and Pteras, but above the Zabat. Of course, like all aerials, its structure is remarkably tough, much more so than most ground Zoids. Since aerials have to absorb the stresses of flight, their structure is fine-tuned, lightweight, and immensely tough, and the Raynos' got one of the toughest structures out there. While this limits its customization potential, it can take stresses far beyond what even the pilot can.

Mobility and Power Source:
The Raynos, for lack of a better term, is the Sunday flier of the Zoids world. It's small, agile, and is the benchmark against which every other aerial Zoid is compared. Usually unfavorably, as the Raynos offers the best balance of response time, maneuverability, acceleration and speed available. While the Storch is a bit more maneuverable, and the Zabat has a tighter low-speed turn circle, the Raynos is the best balanced fighter you'll get short of the Storm Sworder, combining all those elements into a prizewinner design.

30mm triple-barreled Beam Cannon
Mounted inside the chest of the Raynos in a forward locked position. In much the same way as the Hound Soldier's beam cannons, these fire quickly, at an improved twelve rounds per second each, and are excellent for pursuit, as they fire right in line with the pilot's crosshairs.

72mm Machine Gun x2
This pair of laser-based machine guns allow the Raynos to shoot down enemy air or ground Zoids trying to follow it, and are very useful for the stunt flier. The point damage is comparable to 20mm laser fire, but each one fires at a respectable rate of twenty rounds per second, to better discourage enemies and missiles alike.

Anti-Ground Missile Housing
Mounted inside the chest of the Raynos behind the 30mm Beam Cannon. It packs a single smart bomb capable of limited heat seeking if the pilot takes the time to gain a visual lock. It's a small, tactical weapon, and features an EMP blast instead of a standard warhead. This small electromagnetic blast shorts out electronics and motor units alike, stalling everything within its fifteen-meter blast radius for about four seconds, much like a weaker EMP net.

3D Electron-Type Radar
Known far and wide as the radome, this form of 3D Radar is mounted on the back of the Raynos and allows it to use 3D mapping, radar, and infrared. The radar is specially designed so as to not be interfered with by harsh weather conditions too. It's a first foray for the Zoids world into the world of AWACS, but this little radome can send its data to all teammates within ten kilometers, as well as provide a small targeting assist on the order of 10%.
