Designed for any Zoid that can mount the CP-15 Assault Gatling Unit, the RADOME is effectively stripped directly from the Wild Weasel Unit. Initially the VM-32 was merely the Rectennae Targeting Dish from CP-13 modifications sold to budget-strapped militias, as the Rectennae made up a good fraction of the cost. Now, it is produced as a modification in its own right.
The RADOME takes a page from the Raynos, mounting flat and flush against the Zoid that uses it, so it doesn’t inhibit any weaponry or the like. It is redesigned from that of the Wild Weasel Unit, and so isn’t quite as universally useful, providing only two things. First of all, it provides a 3D mapping system to chart terrain out to 1.5 kilometers, though as with all of these systems, complexity of terrain and weather will affect it adversely. The second capability it has, and the one most people will buy it for, is the ability to independently target up to sixteen Zoids at once, assigning targets and priority. With some 64 missiles in the Assault Gatling Unit, the ability to lock onto more than one Zoid is a very useful thing to have. The RADOME is covered with a sheet of armour equivalent to the poly-weave armour of the Rev Raptor, for added protection.
