Designation: CZU- 01 Attack Custom
Zoid(s) For: Command Wolf

When the Republic beat the Death Saurer during the old war, many thought that would be the end of the war. However, Gunter Prozen refused to sign a peace treaty, and the Republic realized the only way to end the war would be a decisive invasion of the Guylos home continent of Nyx. To do this, a quick and adaptable first-strike landing team was dispatched, called the Lightning Team. This team consisted of Liger Zero and Shadow Fox Zoids, along with some custom transports that held the adaptation supplies. Also included in this group was a squadron of specially upgraded Command Wolves, called Attack Customs. They sported refined and vastly superior CP-04 Attack Units, whilst maintaining the customizability that made the Command Wolf famous.

Another, lesser known Command Wolf variant was the rare Blue Command Wolf. Many times this Zoid was mistaken for a Command Wolf AC, due to them also sporting blue armour, but it was quite a different Zoid. It had a reworked internal structure and drive system that increased the top speed to 231 km/h. This design, due to the difficulty of refitting internals, was not retconned into the older Wolves, but for some strange reason further production didn’t go ahead.

Over the years, Command Wolves have become more and more outdated, showing their age more and more. That is, until one bright lad, Benjamin Rivalta, found the designs for the Command Wolf AC and the Blue Command Wolf in the old archives at AIZDAT. Being an enterprising young fellow, this man saw the possibilities for combining the two sets of blueprints to create a far superior Command Wolf, and in doing so he created the Command Wolf Attack Custom MK.II, the most advanced Command Wolf so far.

The new armour he designed sports three new weapon hardpoints, to really make this an Attack Custom. Two of the hardpoints are on the sides, between the front and back legs, while the third rests on the underbelly, between the two front legs. This allows a great number of parts to mount to the Zoid, but some parts have become restricted due to the fact that the new Attack unit is fixed into the structure of the Wolf, unable to be removed. Because the AC uses a refined Attack Unit, you must own a CP-04 Attack Unit before purchasing this upgrade.

Parts restricted by CZ-01 Attack Custom:

SS-07 BESAD Autocannons
SS-10 Trapper Gunnery Set
VM-26 Deathrain Unit
ZU-07 Juggernaut

Armor Description:
The Command Wolf AC uses new poly-weave armour that has exactly the same coverage as the armour on an original Command Wolf. However, this armour is much tougher than that used on the standard Command Wolf, whilst maintaining the same lightweight properties. The armour all over is as tough as a Heldigunner’s armour, with double-thickness layers of armour over the thighs, hips and shoulders. However, the lower legs remain unarmoured. The upgrade in the drive mechanisms and the increased speed tolerance gifted from the Blue Command Wolf make the legs fairly rugged however. The armour itself is fitted with three new hardpoints, since this is an ‘Attack Custom’. One is located on the underbelly, while the other two are on the flanks. When mounting mods on the flanks, if the mod has horizontal rotation that is actually vertical rotation, and any vertical rotation is how far out the device can turret.

Mobility and Power Source:
Just like the original Wolf, the Command Wolf AC has excellent endurance, able to run and chase for hours on end without fail. The power previously devoted to the beam cannons has been redirected to the assistance boosters, allowing them to be used for slightly longer than the boosters of the original CP-04. Due to the shell-based modification to the CP-04 there is a little power left to spare. The agility of the Wolf is almost as good as the original, hampered somewhat by the large size of the back-mounted Attack unit, though the stabilizers on the sides of the Attack Unit go some of the way towards solving this problem.

Electron Bite Fangs
Rows of razor-sharp alloy teeth line the Command Wolf's strong jaws. They can be charged up with electric energy for a lot of shocking electrical damage to go along with the physical damage. Generally used as a last resort, this equipment delivers quite a drain to the Command Wolf's energy supply. Be careful when you're using this, as the Command Wolf doesn't really have the stamina to take much damage if it gets caught stalled out.

Strike Claw x4
One on the end of each of the Command Wolf's legs, these claws have toes made of sharp, extra-strength alloy. Due to the wolf's small size, it's not recommended to use these unless you're quite certain that you're beefier than your opponent. The Command Wolf, like a real wolf, isn't designed for ripping and tearing like a Liger is.

250mm Attack Unit
Redesigned using the CP-04 as the basis, this Attack Unit sports two large 250mm cannons. They are normally forward facing, but can rotate 180 degrees on the horizontal axis and even 60 degrees on the vertical axis, for an excellent range of fire. These cannons fire huge shells at a standard semi-automatic rate of fire, instead of the weakly focused maser beams of the normal CP-04. However, their huge size relative to the Command Wolf made handling recoil and maintaining accuracy rather difficult. So, a pair of special stabilizers were equipped to either side of the cannons to fix the problems.

Stabilizers
These large units fixed to the sides of the Improved Attack Unit. They are able to shift up, down, left and right, and can tilt and spin to counter the agility lost by the bulk of the Attack Unit. If these stabilizers are destroyed, the Command Wolf AC will lose a good portion of its agility.

Assistance Boosters
Improved over the standard CP-04 variants, these boosters mount to the rear legs of the Command Wolf AC for increased speed and, if used correctly, agility. They are ion-based and store charges to use. Each booster has enough power for a six-second burn before it requires two seconds of down time. Each booster provides thirty kilometers-per-hour of increased thrust.

Radar Antenna
Mounted in between the two cannons of the Attack Unit is a unique Radar Antenna. Capable of both broadcasting and receiving information, it grants the Command Wolf AC an improved and updated radar, enhancing the onboard systems to a three-dimensional automap, including wireframes of zoids. Note that the system cannot penetrate optical stealth, as that bends radar waves as well as visible light waves. However, it does enable the Command Wolf AC to transmit data to its allies, as well as receive data from them. This radar allows the Command Wolf AC to get a very accurate picture of how far the enemy is, relative to its own position.

Smoke Discharger x2
Mounted on either side of the rear end of the Command Wolf over the hips are a pair of dual-barreled smokestacks. When activated, they discharge a large quantity of thick black smoke, able to quickly make a large smoke cloud to cover the Command Wolf from the rear.

Infrared
Other than allowing the Command Wolf to see distinguishable heat signatures and see through it's own smoke there isn't much to this basic sensor. It works similar to the Stealth Viper's infrared, except that it isn't able to see through steam very well.

Of course, this is a big upgrade, overhauling the drive system, installing new modular weapon points, and other things like that, so I expect that it would be expensive, though entirely possible. In case I'm not being totally clear, I want to use my Custom Mod slip to make this an upgrade package for Ben's pre-existing Command Wolf.

Approvage. 185,000 credits and an overhaul to install it, just like any other upgrade. If you wish, you could use this in the ACM, considering I'm feeling generous and always enjoy bending time and space.
