This cannon was designed as yet another modification that can mount under the TIC, and is fixed in place, facing forward. In much the same way as the CPG the VM-20 charges up particles, taking little more than a second, then unleashes it in a single, high-speed beam. Whilst the beam itself is relatively weak, the amount of heat that it generates in a concentrated area is incredible. The thin beam is so hot that anything that comes in contact with it in its first 500 meters of travel will melt away. Literally, this thing will pierce any armor within that range. However, after 1500 meters it becomes less effective at piercing armour, and after six to eight kilometers, it’s nothing but a hot draught of wind.

However, even the specially designed landenium barrel of the gun isn't completely resistant to the charged particle-ness. It can only sustain two shots. After that the barrel itself melts and well... it becomes useless until repaired.
