Title: Relaxing in the Sun
Description: Pre-Royal Cup RP
Silberner Falkestern - September 23, 2005 12:19 AM (GMT)
(Finally up. Sorry for the wait. Neopets and school ate my brain.)
It seemed like a beautiful day in the city of Athens. Pointy Darkness seemed to agree and were now roaming the city acting like hyperactive morons, except for Hughes and Chris. The twins were looking at shop windows and discussing the things they want to bring home with them. The two guys walked along slowly behind the two girls.
"Hughes, don't you guys start in the second round instead of the first?"
Hughes looked like he had forgotten and grinned.
"Oh yeah, I forgot that Siren got us all Byes during the Excelsior for getting Best Show."
"I thought you would. There was the whole murder of a high ranked pilot that you were worrying about."
"True, but off that subject. Who do you think'll win the Royal Cup this year?"
"Dawnstar."
(Walk around, do whatever you want that's LEGAL and possible in the real world XD)
The Keeper - September 23, 2005 01:33 AM (GMT)
"Athens is.. is.." Amy couldn't quite put her description into words, outside of her writing she always did have trouble speaking her mind. It's been a while since they've exited the Great Whale King to explore the city, and they were currently sitting on a bench to relax and take in some sights. "Erm.. Kizuna mind..?"
"You mean 'extraordinary'?" Next to her, Kizuna had her eyes closed with her head resting on the top of the bench. "I thought you were from the city?"
"I am, but I've never been to Athens before.." Amy sighed, her fingers dancing across the keyboard of her laptop as she logged their actions in the city. "Valesck isn't all that great, but I lived there the majority of my life so it's pretty boring compared to Athens."
"Well I lived in the suburbs of Valesck and Mondego, I rarely go to the city." Jeremy remarked as he finished scarfing down the rest of his hotdog. "Aren't you guys even remotely nervous about this? I mean this is the Royal Cup!"
"We are, but being too nervous won't help us get through the first round."
"But.." Jeremy wasn't exactly too sure of himself right then. His first real battle would be in the Royal Cup of all places!
Amy simply smiled and shut down her laptop. "We'll get through it, don't worry about it so much. Let's just enjoy Athens for now." Nodding, the three got up from the bench and continued to explore the city a little before they were to meet up with Dr. Isayama at the Cafe they found earlier.
kitsune106 - September 26, 2005 08:11 PM (GMT)
Mark was currently wandering around Athens. There was much to see and he had promised Atta he would tell him about how the city was like.
Mark frowned a bit, worrying a bit about Atta. The Royal cup had caught them by surprise but luckily some creative fibbing had managed to preserve Atta's secret. Mark reflected on the Royal cup as well, thinking about Team Silverhammer’s chances. Team Silverhammer only had 2 pilots at the moment which put them at a disadvantage for consecutive fights and fights with larger teams. Add that to the fact that both zoids which feline types and better suited for melee than ranged fights, meant that their chances of winning the Royal cup were about as the same as Atta suddenly becoming human.
Mark broke off the line of thinking. Sure, they did not have a good chance at winning, but they would try their best.
Mark continued his sightseeing tour, but also keeping an eye-out for other zoid pilots.
forgetfulencinda - September 27, 2005 03:56 AM (GMT)
Rinorgon is pacing through Athens grumbling quietly about his friend Jacob, " he promises to join my team but only if I find another teamate, we only need two pilots for a team, and it's not like I care about working on my social skills." Calming down after about an hour of moaning to himself. "Well I guess I might as as well enjoy the city while looking for a teamate, that happens to be as desperate for another pilot as I am, like that will ever happen." Flopping down on a bench and looking up "well at least the weather is nice" and in his head this will also give me a chance to see a real zoid tournment maybe even I'll manage to see some matches first hand, and it might give me an idea how to pilot my own zoid. Rinorgon sighs softly then under his breath "I wonder if they got an arcade in this city."
Nighteyes - September 28, 2005 04:52 PM (GMT)
In a certain hotel room, relaxing was the last thing on either of the two occupants' minds.
"What?! You can't be serious!"
"I'm very serious, Tamar. You almost got yourself killed back there! If you were a little more serious, then I wouldn't be saying this in the first place, you know?"
Ahhh, the interactions of a recently-married couple. Doesn't it just warm your heart to hear the love?
Tamar was absolutely furious. The hotel carpet practically smoked at her footfalls as she paced back and forth. "You can't do this to me!" she snarled. "You know how much I love to fly. And you'd take me out of my Redler and put me in some..." She searched for the right not-quite expletive. "...ground-pounding... lumbering... tank!"
A study in contrasts, Liam was seated in the swivel chair at the hotel's desk. He held a pad of free stationary in one hand and a pen in the other, but his concentration was focused on Tamar. His face was almost expresionless, but his eyes blazed with intensity and his voice was sharp enough to cut through polycrystal armor. "Stunt flying was one thing, but now you're in a completely different type of competition! Especially now that the Royal Cup is coming, you're going to be facing a whole new level of competition. And what if your flying antics get you seriously injured or killed? Those are live rounds being fired out there, Tamar, and real Zoids that may kill you if you crash into them."
"All right, it was a mistake to come in that low and fast." Tamar turned to Liam, her voice rising again. "But now you want to take me away from what I've done all of my adult life and instead..."
"Tamar, I didn't..."
"...I'd like to see you do any better, especially given..."
"...a Saber Tiger is not a tank! It is light, maneuverable..."
"...and who was it who actually did some DAMAGE against Dawnstar? You in your wimpy Gun Sniper?..."
"...the risk is too great! You could..."
"...oh, come off it! Zoid battle is one continous risk..."
A third person entered the hotel room carrying a full ice bucket. Jan blinked, looked between the two arguing parties, and just shook his head. With a slight smile on his face, he deposited the ice bucket on the desk and walked back out. Evidently, neither one had noticed his entry, for the argument continued unabated.
"Young 'uns," he chuckled to himself, exiting the room. "One of these days, they'll understand."
Jan continued down the hallway to the elevator. There was still time before they shipped out, and he was looking forward to the opportunity to see some sights and maybe chat with some of the other pilots. After all, no one would probably take him to be one of the Reaper's Bounty pilots... gray-bearded men in tatty shirts didn't pilot Zoids. It was one of those unofficial rules, like "the good guys always pilot Republican models".
Orpheus - October 2, 2005 11:53 AM (GMT)
Matthew sat staring out the window of his hotel room, tapping a pencil against the windowsill. Lying on his lap was a rather lengthy legal document, but his mind wasn't on it at that point in time.
"Oh, man... C'mon, Blaine! I really, really need my Gun SNiper, and you know it!"
Matt turned to look at John and Blaine arguing rather heatedly. It was over the Gun Sniper John had in impound. John's side of the arguement was that they were going to need a much stronger Zoid than the Stealth Viper to be of any success in this Cup, whilst Blaine took the stance of team accountant.
"There is no way in hell I am going to pay over $150,000 dollars to get your Zoid out of the impound! What the hell did you do to get a $150,000 release fine anyway?"
While John spluttered some kind of excuse, Matt stretched his arms, yawned, and walked out into the hallway. He swiped the hotel card in the elevator, heading down to the bar for a drink, hoping to meet someone else to talk to.
Silberner Falkestern - October 6, 2005 11:41 PM (GMT)
Team Pointy Darkness soon found themselves at a small cafe and they all sat around a small table with drinks. The two boys were huddled together, muttering something as the twins just kind of blinked and went back to talking. Siren turned to her sister.
"Sil, do you think we'll be able to get far in the Royal Cup?"
Sil just grinned.
"I don't think, I shoot. If we lose, we lose and if we win, we get prizes and get to annoy those brats down the hall from us."
Siren stifled a laugh as Silberner tried cheering her up.
The Keeper - October 15, 2005 08:40 PM (GMT)
"God I'm starving.." Jeremy stumbled into the Cafe, nearly tripping over his own feet before he sat his bum in one of the stalls. "I can't believe we walked that much!" As if on cue, the growls of his stomach echoed around him. Amy and Kizuna walked up to the stall and sat opposite of him as one of the waitresses came up to them and handed out the menus.
"Well I'm not surprised Jeremy, the only thing you did today was whine." Amy chuckled as her cousin glared at her fiercely before giving his order of a cheese burger to the returning waitress.
"Jeremy, if we've told you once today, we've told you a hundred times. Relax." It was obvious that the Cafe was pretty efficient as their orders were given to them shortly after Kizuna said that. "We're here to have fun. It's not best to worry about these things prior to it's happenings. We'll do what we can at the Royal Cup and be happy with our results, even if that means being eliminated in the first round." He looked at her, opening his mouth to say something but instead opted not to. He's known the three for a good long time, and he should know by now how stubborn the two were.
Luka - October 17, 2005 02:11 AM (GMT)
The trio from the Nocturnal Bliss team strolled down the street, Leo with his fingers laced behind his head, his head pointing to the sky and admiring the craftsmenship that went into the buildings. Damien had his head tilted to the ground, and was dragging behind the rest, his arms lifelessly hanging his his pockets, and heavy with each step, though for a man of his size, one could not help. Luka however, led the pack, and had his hands confidently crossed at his chest, his eyes guiding the rest of the pack through the busy streets.
"So are we gonna' be allowed to enter...?" Leo's voice echoed as they walked, though still looking up at the sky.
Damien grumbled, which only Luka and Leo know what he ment, which was, "Did it even start?"
Luka stopped and turned around, and just as he opened his mouth to speak, Leo ran into him, which caused the two to collide, but Damien ran into them, and the trio stumbled a few feet, Luka grabbing Leo, but Leo grabbing Damien, all trying to gain their balance. When they finally did, they were standing in front of a clear glass window, at which point both Leon and Luka looked up, and together, "Thats lucky." Damien pushed the two towards the cafe's door with his elbow.
"Food...Now. I'm hungry." But it wasn't as though he commanded them to or anything, they were all hungry anyway. They walked in, taking a moment to decide where to sit, but Luka motioned with his hand to take one of the booths in the far end of the room, beside the window. Leo was the first to sit down, and sat beside the window, to look out of it, again at the sky. Luka sat beside him, with Damien sitting oppisite of the two.
Leo sighed, "Do you think we can make it?" His eyes rolled around to Luka, which Luka basically lead the team.
Luka smirked, "Probably not.", then ordered as the waitress came, already knowing what to order. Damien then ordered a sandwich, with Luka just getting water. The trio sat and eat/drank while they talked about the battles, or even if they would accept a late application.
Silberner Falkestern - December 16, 2005 01:58 AM (GMT)
It was not long before the female members of Pointy Darkness started a commotion. Oddly enough, it was Siren who was being the loudest and Sil sitting back quietly.
"How dare you say that you're a better pilot than I am?!"
Hughes sighed as the woman stood up and pointed at him accusingly.
"Siren, I never said a word about your piloting abilities and if I did, I wouldn't be stupid enough to tell you to your face," he said in a calm yet somewhat annoyed voice.
"See, so you think I'm worse than you are!"
"No, I didn't. I'm just saying that Big Bad Zoids are attracted to you in a way that me and my Heldigunner shall never know."
"Are you saying I'm just a tool?!"
"Yes, Siren, I'm telling you that you're the Big Bads' bitch. Never knew you could top the Dextra though," Hughes said in a bored and sarcastic tone of voice.
All of this amused Silberner, who was watching everything unfold. She noticed that not once had Hughes raised his voice and that he didn't even seem to care about the topic. Of course, if she was staring down her slightly drunk sister, she wouldn't care about the conversation either.
Luka - December 16, 2005 05:32 AM (GMT)
Luka sighed, with his foot against the edge of the table, and a cell phone in his right hand. Damien finished his sandwich, and Leon had grown bored of staring out the window.
"Right..." Luka nodded, "...okay..." He nodded once more, "...pleasures mine. Thank you." He snapped the cell phone shut while grinning devilishly.
"What? What is it?" Leon asked, leaning forward, almost ready to pounce over the table to force it out of him. "You've been on your phone for the past 5 minutes, and I don't even know who you were talking to." Leon had a severe problem with curiousity, some medical mumbo jumbo.
"We're in."
"In?"
"Yes, in."
"In what?"
Damien sighed, slamming his fist down hard against the table, "We're in the tournement you moron." He smirked while looking at his own fist. "We've got to win this thing."
"Yeah, duh." Leon added, completely unneeded. He was excited, it was pre-battle jitters. He stood up on his seat, high above the room, and cleared his throat to gather attention. "Ahem. If you'll all just give your attention over here." He smiled, looking around at all the face, "Your looking at the future Royal Cup winners!" He clapped for himself, "Leon Briggs, Damien Grose, and our leader, Luka Degrave. We'd all love to see you-"
Luka pulled his down by the pant leg abruptly, causing Leo to fall on top of Luka. Luka pushed him off quickly, smiling nervously at those watching. "You know your embarassing, right? If you ever pull a stunt like that again, I will personally rearrange your face." Luka curled his right hand into a fist, and slammed it down on the table.
The Keeper - January 1, 2006 06:42 PM (GMT)
Amy looked up from her Laptop to watch some idiot claim his team to be 'the future royal cup winners'. It was one thing to be confident, but another thing to show off before anything even happened! Team Nightwatch's strategist sighed, somewhat defeated and maybe jealous. She wished her teammates were at least somewhat optimistic.. Amy was suddenly broken off from her thoughts by a nudge from Kizuna. "What?"
"Check out the guy in the Chef getup." Team Nightwatch watched as the man, who also seemed to be the owner of the Cafe, fume at the two rowdy teams who were scaring away a good deal of his customers.
"He looks like he's ready to throw everyone out.." Amy watched, rather amused though worried. It was obvious that the 'guy in the Chef's outfit' was going to throw Nightwatch out as well, with the whining Jeremy was doing a little while ago.
"Oh don't worry, I've got it."
"Got wha-?" Amy put her laptop in sleep mode as she watched her friend swiftly stop the chef from lashing out. If you looked carefully enough, you could see Kizuna holding a red Credit card in her hand. "Looks like she's going to pay the guy for the trouble everyone caused.."
Jeremy looked up from his empty plate, having finished off the last of his food. "You know her, she doesn't use her Dad's credits too often." He leaned back, closing his eyes and crossing his arms as he did so. "Kizuna just doesn't want any trouble. Afterall.. we only just got here."
Silberner Falkestern - January 6, 2006 09:44 PM (GMT)
Before Siren could respond, Silberner spoke up.
"Siren, relax. You'll get us kicked out if you keep it up and you're stealing my job of being the annoying one."
The sisters looked at each other before Siren sat down and stared at her glass blankly. Chris turned to Sil with a amused look on his face.
"What's going on with you today? You don't seem like your normal self."
"Pondering the meaning of life and the heat's making me feel really sleepy."
Chris looked confused for a second before remembering that both sisters were from the north.
"Oh yeah, then why's Siren all weird?"
"I say my mom dropped her as a small child."
Luka - January 10, 2006 01:25 AM (GMT)
Leon and Luka both pushed themselves up, but Damien reached his hand acrossed and stopped them from exiting the boothe. Luka turned his head annoyed, and scoffed, "Move your arm before I remove it."
Damien smirked, "Your welcome to try." He said, throwing an elbow into Luka's stomach playfully, which was still enough force to jerk Luka back.
"What is it?"
"We need stratedgies, and we need to plan, and we need to get things organized..."
Leon and Luka both leans forward, planting their foreheads in their palms and sighing. So began the plans.
Silberner Falkestern - January 28, 2006 04:12 AM (GMT)
It was silent for a moment at the table before somebody walked up behind Hughes and put their small tan hands on Hughes's shoulders. Hughes yelped and curled up on his seat. A man walked out from behind Hughes's chair and just looked at him.
"You know, he wasn't that bad when he was living with us."
The sisters stood up angrily, almost knocking their chairs over.
"Who are you and what are you doing messing with Hughes like that," Siren said while glaring at the shorter man. Silberner just copied her sister and glared. The man, on the other hand, noticed the two girls and promptly started hitting on them.
"I take it that he didn't tell you about me then...I'm Ryan Rivera, Hughes's much more handsome cousin. It is a honor for me to met two such lovely ladies here, You are the Falkestern twins, correct?"
The sisters looked at each other and Chris, who was laughing nervously and inching away before he got hurt, and pulling Hughes along with him by his shirt collar.

Orpheus - February 3, 2006 04:28 AM (GMT)
The door to a bar banged open and four people walked in, looking quite relieved to be off the street. The youngest wiped his brow, running his hand though his long hair.
"Goddamn, who'd have suspected there'd be so many fans for the losers? Dawnstar must be swamped at the moment," commented John with a huff. The oldest member there slapped him on the shoulder and laughed drly. He limped slowly towards an unoccupied table away from the bar.
"Don't be an idiot John. Dawnstar were pretty much the top contenders in this cup, except for the Tyrant Saurers. They haven't been ebaten in battle, and we damn near did it. That's why we're popular at the moment," finished Blaine as he settled down, rubbing his knee softly. His daughter bounced over to the table, swishing her long blonde hair. Blaine growled softly as several men in the bar turned and followed her with their eyes.
"Daddy, I'm getting a drink. What do you guys want?" she asked, as John considered his order.
"Premium beer I guess. Might as well drink in style," laughed John as he glanced over at Blaine. Blaine nodded gruffly.
"Make that two. Don't bother with Matt, he's already found something to drink."
Matt wandered over, slightly gloomy-looking, and sat down with a bottle of whiskey. John stared at him as he whipped out three small glasses. Matt threw a glance to him, filled up the three glasses and then began to drink from the first.
"It's not so bad for you guys, you all did really well. I barely made a showing, and it was terrible," he reminded John as explanation for his actions. john nodded and turned back to Blaine. However, Blaine was currently chatting to a man in tweed. He shook his head to show he wasn't interested, but nodded towards Matt and John. The man came around to their side of the table and looked down at them.
"Misters Galloway and Simmons, I presume."
"What of it?" grunted Matt as he drank. The man didn't seem at all perturbed by his lack of interest.
"I was wondering, after seeing your match with Dawnstar today, if it mightn't have gone slightly differently if you'd had some superior hardware?" the man began, at which point Matt stopped drinking, and John lowered his bottle. Both seemed interested.
"What would you say if the ZBC were willing to allow one of you to trade your Zoid for... a Liger Zero?" asked the man. Matt blinked, then sipped his whiskey.
"Heh, that useless piece of junk? Damn thing's not all that much better than a Shield Liger. Not my style. Big armour, big guns, lots of bang, that's my style," elaborated Matthew, while John nodded to show his agreement. The man laughed slightly.
"Ah, a smart one. Well, I suppose you know that the Liger Zero Mister Xaratan was piloting today was not the standard model?" At this question, John nearly snorted beer out his nose, so ridiculous did the question seem to him.
"Of course it wasn't! That's why we got beaten. He had the Jaeger. It's a unique CAU from the days of old. It was part of a set, with a close combat variant and a heavy artillery tank design," John stated. The man nodded at him, and held out a folder filled with files.
"Liger Zero Panzer. Lots of armour, lots of missiles, very big guns. At all interested?"
Orpheus - February 4, 2006 05:23 AM (GMT)
Matthew and John looked at each other while Blaine leaned back and drank his beer. It appeared that it would be a straight trade, so it wasn't really going to affect his team in any real way.
"Just so you know, ther's a small fee involved with the Panzer. The ZBC is offering you a stock Liger Zero, equipped with the Standard Armour, and the option to purchase the Panzer armour as an aside. This way, you can choose which fashion you'll use it in, for various situations," concluded the ZBC man smoothly. Blaine clinked his drink down, glancing at the other two.
"How much?" he gruffly asked, because if they really were unique designs then... he shuddered to think of the price. The man handed him the Panzer's file, so that Blaine could flip through it.
"Two hundred and ten thousand. Really, for what you're getting, it's quite cheap. Take a look, study it, while I discuss the matter with these two..." he turned back to Matthew and John. "So? Any thoughts?"
John was the first to speak.
"I'd have to get rid of my Gunsniper.... that means we'd have a useless Wild Weasel Unit," he added, but Matt was quick to cut him off.
"Not really... if I downgrade my Darkhorn, make it capable of supporting the Wild Weasel Unit again... and it can still sport two Beam Gatling Units. it'd have a lot more power than any normal Darkhorn..." he trailed off, the new idea burning inside his mind. He rubbed the rims of the glasses he was drinking from to clean them, as a general habit. John looked back at him and considered.
"Whats the weapon loadout like?" he asked, curious. Before the man could reply, Blaine grunted the answer.
"Seventy six missiles, triple-grenade launcher and twin AZ144mm laser/AZ256mm Railcannon hybrids. It's not bad... good armour too, very tough. I'm concerned about the way the armour's designed though... surely something like this builds up a lot of heat?" Blaine asked, referencing old knowledge from his mind, back from when he'd occasionally serviced Zoids in the war.
The man didn't look in the least perturbed by the question. He simply took the file back and glanced at it.
"Actually yes, it has rather a low heaat dissipation rate. I don't wish to sound blunt, but this is a ZBC offer. It makes no difference to me, nor to the ZBC. There are many other teams throughout the various leagues who would benefit from this Zoid. We simply seek to craft teams to be on an equal level with each other, for more intense action." He began to pack away the file and some other forms back into his briefcase.
"Hang on! Okay... I'll take the Liger Zero," exclaimed John. At the very least, the Zero was customizable to the extreme, so if it came to it he could porbably find a way to mangle the Wild Weasel Unit onto its back. He shot a look at Blaine.
"Oh, okay. We have the cash to spare. We'll take the Panzer armour too..." decided Blaine. The man smiled and offered him a form and a pen. Blaine signed a few forms, and the transaction was done. The credits would be subtracted from the team account at midnight, and the Panzer would arrive within the day. However, the Liger Zero would not be delivered until the Gunsniper had been repaired and sold, which Blaine grudgingly agreed to.
The man left without incident, and the three male members of Team Vagrant sat down to drink again, while Nat danced over near the jukebox.
Silberner Falkestern - February 7, 2006 12:52 AM (GMT)
All five Pointy Darkness members were trying to get themselves drunk since their team got disqualified before they could even fight. Ryan placed his glass onto the table and looked at the four pilots.
"You four got disqualified for attacking each other and flirting! What were you thinking?"
Sil looked over the rim of her glass and laughed.
"We weren't. Not our fault Chris doesn't know how to pilot a Zoid. I thought Ancient Zoidians were able to pilot them, not run into their teammates."
Hughes and Siren snorted into their drinks. Chris just glared at them and went back to drinking.
Orpheus - February 7, 2006 01:11 AM (GMT)
Blaine glanced at the doorway as five people wandered in, clad in piloting outfits, looking rather crestfallen. Blaine couldn't quite pinpoint them, but he was pretty sure they'd been one of the teams in the round of the Royal Cup they'd just lost in. From the looks of it, that team had lost too.
He wondered how badly they'd lost, and decided it wouldn't hurt to go and chat with them. So he stood up and left Matt and John to their chat, wandering to the other table. He offered his hand to the man who'd commented on "you four pilots", figuring he was the team manager or captain or whatever.
"Hi there. I'm Blaine Frazier of Team Vagrant," stated Blaine in a voice that wasn't totally neutral, but not quite either up or down. A perfect formal tone.
Silberner Falkestern - February 7, 2006 01:22 AM (GMT)
Ryan took Blaine's hand and shook it. The pilots glanced at each other for a second. They had watched a rerun of Team Vagrant's match and the team was high up of PD's "Spiffy Teams" list.
"Hello, I'm Ryan Rivera of Team Pointy Darkness. A pleasure to meet you," Ryan said as calmly and formally as he could while somewhat drunk. Hopefully Blaine wouldn't notice.
Orpheus - February 7, 2006 01:30 AM (GMT)
Blaine's eyebrow lifted slightly at the name, but he didn't say anything about the name. Instead, he simply smiled and looked around the pilots. No point offering drinks, since their glasses were full. However...
"Would you like to sit with us? I'd love to discuss strategy and things like that with another team and its manager. You have no idea how sorely I miss intelligent conversation these days."
Silberner Falkestern - February 7, 2006 01:59 AM (GMT)
Ryan looked over at the pilots and saw that they weren't too far out of it yet. He turned back to Blane and smiled.
"That would be great. Maybe we could have the pilots help each other out with their combat types."
The pilots rolled their eyes and drank deeply.
Orpheus - February 7, 2006 02:50 AM (GMT)
Blaine walked back over to his table and introduced each of his pilots in kind. He indicated Nat, who was still dancing so he shouted at her to get her attention. She came to the table, a little red in the face, though she insisted this was because of the dancing.
"This is Natalie, my daughter. She pilots a Lightning Saix. Um... the young guy with the grunge-rocker look is John Simmons, he until recently commandeered a Heavy Armour Gunsniper," stated Blaine.
"It had lots of boom in it," added John with a smile as he stood up to greet the other team. Finally, attention was directed to the man still sitting at the table. He was wiping down the table, before he laid out some coasters. He paused, picked them up, wiped the table again, wiped the bottom of the coasters and set them down. He then proceeded to wipe his glasses with intense concentration and satisfaction, before placing them neatly in the center of their coasters.
"And that one there... he's Matthew Galloway. He pilots an Darkhorn -"
"Redhorn," interjected Matt, glancing up and observing the people in front of him with intense scrutiny.
Silberner Falkestern - February 7, 2006 03:08 AM (GMT)
The team had followed him over to the rest of his team and after they got the introductions, Ryan pointed out each member of his team.
"Silberner Falkestern, former Redhorn pilot. She currently pilots an upgraded Genosaurer called the Zadka Saurer."
She waved at them with a grin on her face.
"Not enough 'splody for me."
"Her twin sister Siren, who pilots the Hound Soldier."
Siren just smiled. Ryan placed his hands on Hughes' shoulders, which caused the sniper to jerk away from his cousin.
"This is my younger cousin Hughes. He pilots our Sniper Heldigunner."
Hughes just glared at his cousin with hatred.
"And our newest pilot, Chris Allanset, who pilots our Redhorn and is our mechanic."
Chris just gave a nod that showed he noticed them, but that was it.
Orpheus - February 14, 2006 11:04 AM (GMT)
"Nice to meet you all. Well, how did you all go? We haven't caught up on any other battles yet, cause the battle against Dawnstar has completely drained us," explained Blaine casually, glancing over the team. Slightly drooped heads, slumped shoulders, and yet a strong gleam in the eyes of the pilots. They'd lost, but lost in a brutal and impressive way, he was willing to bet.
Silberner Falkestern - February 14, 2006 06:49 PM (GMT)
Silberner grinned proudly and stood at her tallest. She looked as if her mood just swung around.
"Took two of them down by myself! Hughes was shot and Siren tried to go stabbity on the King Baron. Never knew a Storch could explode like that. It was pretty. Mmmm, Storch-y splody."
The rest of the team just blinked. Sil confused them a lot.
