Title: Christmas time is here!

Orpheus - September 3, 2005 03:22 AM (GMT)
While Blaine was at the Junkyard talking to Vincent, Matthew was out the back, pulling some mods from the trailer. Two HT-02 Gauss Gatling Units. Dropping them to the ground, Matthew walked over to Vincent and nodded at Blaine.

"Look, we got some guns for you. Do you want them? You can have them for free for all we care. Go ahead, take them."

Vincent Claybourne - September 3, 2005 04:41 AM (GMT)
"Didntcha say you wanted t'sell them? Normally I wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, but somethin seems almost wrong about fleecing someone over two perfectly good parts."

Orpheus - September 4, 2005 01:18 AM (GMT)
"What? You were gonna sell these? Oh... sorry Blaine. I just thought we agreed that we'd give them to Vincent..." Matt looked a little perturbed, but nowhere near as much as Blaine.

"Yeah, well... I've gotta sell my Gun Sniper. Not all cheese and roses..." Blaine actually looked rather forlorn. Matthew snorted and raised his eyebrow's at Vince, as if to say "Whipping Boy".

"Okay... who wants the really fast Zoid?" Matthew asked Blaine reasonably. Blaine thought about it a while before giving his reply.

"Natalie... She wants me to have it so I can get rid o... bad memories. And also so she can try out the Zoid for herself. I think after the last match she got a little disheartened with her Gordos."

Matthew looked at Blaine for a moment, and then turned to Vincent.

"Tell you what, the Gun Sniper's not for sale. But I am giving you these Gauss Gatling Units, and I'm going to offer you a price on the Gordos. We already have one heavy assault Zoid, and a sniper would be a lot more valuable to our team. I know I'm only a casual member, but..."

Blaine looked at Matthew for a moment, and swore.

"What? Any spare money from the Gordos, she can donate to charity, like she loves doing. Now come on, we're selling that hunk of junk."

Blaine grudgingly agreed, and then they both looked at Vincent expectantly.

Vincent Claybourne - September 4, 2005 02:07 AM (GMT)
"Well, I can't give ya an accurate price unless ya tell me how well the Gordos' done in battle. What's it's record, you know, wins and losses 'n draws? Pilots can be superstitious after all."

Vincent doesn't seem at all perturbed about the bickering going on between the two. As a matter of fact, he's downright lost in all of this.

"Unless the record's really bad or really good, though, it's lookin like 82K."

Orpheus - September 4, 2005 02:09 AM (GMT)
Matt glanced at Blaine. The price seemed pretty fair in his eyes. He thought about the last battle, and chose his words carefully.

"It's been in... one battle. Just the one. Sadly it lost after getting... Megalo-Maxxed?" Matthew winced, waiting to see if the offer would drop any.

Vincent Claybourne - September 4, 2005 03:10 AM (GMT)
"81K, then. I'm tackin on a bit for the weapons. I'd feel bad if ya gave 'em to me for free." Vincent nods, reaching down into his pocket... and taking out a sandwich. A bite is quickly taken out of the sandwich from there.

Orpheus - September 4, 2005 03:19 AM (GMT)
Matt thought for a moment, and nodded. He had a better sense of commerce than Blaine did, and it seemed fair to him.

"81k then. Consider it sold. And how much will it cost us tyo buy the Lightning Saix? We'd better bring something back, or Nat will kill us..." Matt stated, nodding sagely.

Vincent Claybourne - September 4, 2005 03:24 AM (GMT)
"Well, ya got credit for 81,000 with those parts- so, I'll ask ya for another 9K for the Saix. That sound good?"

Orpheus - September 4, 2005 03:28 AM (GMT)
Matthew pondered for a moment, and then pulled out an electronic credit slip.

"Sounds fair. Here, this is a 60k credit slip. Consider that our payment for the Saix and the purchase of 1 entry into the Junkyard Tournament."

Vincent Claybourne - September 4, 2005 04:55 AM (GMT)
"Works for me." Vincent nods, taking the money. "Saix is all yours. Oh, one last thing- what was the Gordos' name?"

Orpheus - September 4, 2005 06:17 AM (GMT)
Matthew faltered at this question, realizing that if Nat had named it, he didn't know. He thought for a moment, and then replied with casual ease.

"Bob Marley. Nat called her Gordos Bob Marley."

The Gordos was unloaded, the Saix loaded onto the Gustav, and then it trundled away towards the horizon.
