A surprisingly simple piece of equipment designed specifically for the Glaive Quama and Pteras, this gives it a decidedly sharp anti-tank edge. Each of the cluster bomb launchers is an armored box mounted just underneath the airfoils with four tubes attached to the sides. The tubes are normally fanned out along the undersides of the airfoils, capable of inclining up ninety degrees from the horizontal to seventy degrees downwards from the horizontal. The tubes are short, only about a meter or so long, and rather difficult targets to peg.
The tubes discharge volleys of what amounts to explosive buckshot. The fire roughly thirty hand grenade-sized explosives per barrel, each barrel blasting a sixty-degree cone from its muzzle. The explosives are small and weak, but there are so many of them that not only does the rain of grenades deal extensive surface damage to most armor, they’re also almost impossible to dodge. They’re shot out at speeds approaching the sound barrier, a bit slower than bullets. The barrels have one shot each.
