Helic announces the reopening of zoid battles on the Western Continent with a bang. A Big Bad Bang. They are fielding a pair of the rare Salamander-type zoid to go up against any and all challengers from the Imperial, Republic, and Athenian Leagues. The pilot who distinguishes himself the most in this battle will win the Salamander. In a strange twist, these Salamanders are actually all-standard. When asked about it, the Republic replied that they 1) were too cheap and 2) figured the pilots would have a rough enough time of it without the 'Manders packin' tactical nuclear warheads.
They just ask that folks keep the CPGs to a minimum.

A'ighty. Seeing as how there aren't that many of you who post that often, I have no idea who's going to show up. Thusly, I'll be needing y'all to post if you're interested in this (and unlike the last one, I won't skip ahead without ya . . .) and post whether you prefer it to be forum or chat battle. And most importantly, why you want it to be one or the other.
If you don't think you could participate in a chat battle [read: You never have], then don't vote for chat battles.

I pretty much get dragged into every battle possible, so I'm in this whether I like it or not. o-o; As for which... I say Forum Battle. It'll give others a chance to participate in an actual big bad battle for once.

Kraig Cushard - August 8, 2005 03:32 AM (GMT)
I'm in, I'd perfer a chat battle because It'll go faster.

A prime example of what I was talking about. Sove . . . when was the last time you participated in one of these things? It'd require your being online pretty much all day, just so you're not one of the people we're waiting on. I'm aware chat battles go faster, but I wouldn't mind seeing some quality combat in there, either.

The Keeper - August 8, 2005 03:41 AM (GMT)
Not to mention the fact that forum based battles actually go a little faster here on MC.

Kraig Cushard - August 8, 2005 03:42 AM (GMT)
Alright,I said chat because I'm not online during most of the day from 3pm to 11pm so I wouldn't be able to post that much.

Funny. That sort of thing is exactly why it would be on the board, rather than in chat. Because there is no way in Hell we would have the battle before noon or that late at night. I know the battle would probably take a few days, probably more along the line of a week or so.
Just remember to get it done before September second. The date of Japan's formal surrender aboard the U.S.S. Missouri, even.

Silberner Falkestern - August 8, 2005 07:05 PM (GMT)
I would say chat just because I like those better, but we need a forum battle so people can participate. And a Big Bad battle with tons of people would be better than a Big Bad battle with only five.

And if I'm here, I'm not going to miss out on the destruction. Count me in.

Solaris - August 9, 2005 02:24 PM (GMT)
Alright. I've posted the topic in the Central Continent Forum -- go get 'em, kiddies.

The TV in the bar crackled with energy as the Bartender decides he should find out why were there no customers. If the big threatening booms off elsewhere weren't clue enough, the TV never lied.

The buzzling sound of nothing but gray matter....

and then HELIC NEWS.

A lady turned her head and spoke loudly...

"In today's most irreverent battle, zoid pilots attempted to beat two Salamanders and suceeded....

Footage of Gregory doing his crazy suidice run and the Shield Liger dropping from the sky as two big carters are formed...

by the sheer stupidity of the pilots. Then to the amusement to the Helic Republic, they started battling it out. One pilot especially went on a spree and took out five zoids in five seconds..."

Footage of Kent Pierce going wild like college girls in a Cannon Tortoise filled the screen....

"But of course, he was thawted by the foot of a Gojulas the Ogre piloted by Hector..."

And yes, foot of the gojulas came down and just crunch. What a way to go.

Now for those of you that cares...here are the prizes. But I'm sure none of you do"
