The ZBC is rounding up some pilots to take Jonathan Stryker down before the police can get to him. This is a move calculated to improve the public's opinion of them by taking someone who, in a matter of an hour, killed at least six people and is responsible for several more deaths. It will be a very dangerous mission, with the surviving members of the traditionally rival Teams Tyrant Saurer and Dawnstar working together to lead the mission. The pay is unsurpassed, the bounty on Stryker's head a whopping two hundred thousand credits, and the risk more than just about anybody is willing to run.
This battle will be a bit of a departure from the Big Bads we've had so far. The ZBC zoids will be aboard a Whale King, which will serve as a dropship. They will be moving in to take out Stryker's forces following the SWAT sabatoge taking out the engines on Stryker's Whale King. Wyatt West will command the mission. I need you guys to post if you're going to be able to make it, and which characters will, so we can formulate a plan of action. A rewrite of this battle will feature in Heroes.

Though since MC:CAN is based more on roleplay, it's best to ONLY JOIN if you can really see your character getting into this and risking their lives. Obviously I'm out of this match since all my characters are Psychiatric Patients, so... Good luck to everyone out there! Hope you don't get squished. ^^;

Can't promise anything as i'll be back in school next week, but i'd say Marc has good reason to be in this.

Alright. So we're looking at one Shield Liger -- Tim's, because Kyne loves his fuggin' poetic justic -- two Genocrackwhores, one Geno Saurer, and possibly one Red Horn BG. Spiffing.
Silberner Falkestern - August 4, 2005 01:14 PM (GMT)
Hikari and Silberner will be in it if my dad decides to not be evil.
kitsune106 - August 4, 2005 03:22 PM (GMT)
Mark is Swat so will be in. Atta will most liekly be in, if that is okay.
Solaris - August 4, 2005 06:54 PM (GMT)
Nikos and Mark, being SWAT, will be in the initial group that takes out the Whale King's engines so that you're not actually fighting him in the air. Atta will be a trick, given that he's not actually human.
kitsune106 - August 4, 2005 07:15 PM (GMT)
if darken cockpit and say zoid pilot is in, maybe can get away. Atta migth follow announced or own his own. but if not good atta for him to come, Atta will stay behind.

As y'all can see, the Stryke continued on without most of you -- and it was for the best. Kyne and Wyatt weren't quite willing to risk more lives than they had to. As it was, there was a pretty good body count. Six SWAT pilots (two in each Salamander), the Tyrant Saurer pilot Mikhail "Micky" Kashinotov, and Stryker.
Except . . . it wasn't Stryker. The police are working to identify the Gojulas Giga's pilot's body, though no charges will be pressed on any of the bounty hunters. The ZBC used the bounty to help defray damages from Stryker's rampage across the city, including hospital bills.
Other attacks are expected.

... You know Ritter, Chris, Kane, and Will are still going to kill you for going on without them. o-o

Kyne's a complicated fellow. He's just lost just about all of his friends, and really only has Marc and Nikos left. We're not sure about Hank or Jenny surviving. He doesn't want either Marc or Nikos dead. If you don't understand, then I really have to call into question your humanity.
As for Sil and Hikari . . . well, he's seen Silberner in battle. One of those pilots is a complete unknown, while the other is someone he's not about to trust on his back in a life-or-death situation.
Kyne went with the two Tyrant Saurer pilots because he knows how good they are. He could count on them to adapt to the situation, and manage a fairly decent survival rate. He let Greg tag along because Greg was also in a Geno Saurer, and was a fairly decent pilot. That, and Greg was depressive. He could count on a lower will to live, and quite probably on a bit of a desire to be a hero.
