Title: Webcomic Recommendations

Solaris - July 3, 2005 01:07 AM (GMT)
Yes, I did in fact copy-paste this list over from TotG. Sue me.
A few rules. Because it's me, and I have to have rules.
You do not have to ask permission to post the links of webcomics. I will remove those that I find particularly offensive, however.
Don't post links to webcomics that break our rules too frequently. I.E. no porn or hentai, and no comics that come with those spiffy "WARNING - don't read if you're not eighteen" stickers on top. 'Kay?

PvP
This webcomic has been going strong since '98. It's written by a man just bordering on middle-aged, and it shows. He's almost always funny, and is as much a member of the comic book community as the webcomic community. It certainly fits well with Dork Tower and Absurd Notions in that same brand of oldschool gamer wit.

Building Twelve
This one amuses me. It's about a group of . . . *coughs* Yeah, I'm pretty sure we're gonna grow up to be their cast . . . Kane as Craze . . . Vidiot as Iron . . . Rodney as Brian . . . and Will just seems like a Jack, to me.
No. I'm not Klaus. I'm a Republican, not a Fascist . . .

Misfile
This, too, amuses me. It actually manages to be humorous, despite a dubious concept. And I just fixed the link so it works again, too.

Nuklear Power - Home of 8-Bit Theatre
Anybody who does not find Black Mage funny as heck really shouldn't chat with me on IM. I'm serious. It's for your own sanity. (Hmm . . . BM . . . Darth Hadoken . . . separated at birth?)

Dungeon Crawl, Inc.
The humor reminds me a lot of 8-Bit, but it switches over to lineart about halfway through the archives. Where 8-Bit is Final Fantasy, Dungeon Crawl, Inc. is Baldur's Gate. Sorta.

Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire
I like this one, though it does start off a little slow.

Andy & Casey
The single funniest webcomic of all time. Bow down and worship it.

Doctor Devious vs Lincoln High
Kids, this is what happens to Sol many, many years from now. Yes. Ryu will get his revenge . . . the dirty bastard . . .

Schlock Mercenary
Ever wondered where I'll be many years from now?
Prob'bly not here. But this blend of military humor and SciFi, as Big Al put it, "suits [me] to a T."

Nukees
Guys . . . I'm afraid we have a contender for 'funniest webcomic'. It's about college kids. Engineering students, mostly.
Nuclear engineering students.
MUAHAHAHAHAHAA!

El Goonish Shive
The artwork starts off iffy, but he definitely develops a decent style further along. Oh, and this is definitely an oddball comic . . . but quite funny.

Absurd Notions
I wub dis comic!
It looks like he might be trying to revive it, too. This is spiffy.

Seraph Inn -- Inverloch
Half-decent manga series. Fantasy, even.

Dork Tower
Oldschool gamers, boys and girls. Oldschool.

Elf-Only Inn
When I tell you that my favorite character is Sysop, you don't wonder why.

Penny Arcade, Ctrl-Alt-Del, and VG Cats are all webcomics from Will's list that I read and keep forgetting to check. They're fairly well-known, no?

From Kane's midget list: Heretics and Blasphemers.

<_< >_> *knocks a few off her list*

Slightly Damned
This one isn't half bad, it's not exactly one of my favorites but it's amusing none the less.

Star Cross'd Destiny
This one is awsome, I love the artwork on this and the story. I'd be reading the novel version but she hid that one to avoid spoiling the story.

10k Commotion
What I like about this particular comic... is that it's not so much about the game then it is about the people who play it. Sure it's centered around DDR, but it goes deeper- O_O UPDATE! *goes to read it*

That's all I'm listing. o_o

It's only called MacHall because that was the name of their dorm house in college.

They advocated Macs at one point. They must burn! BURN!
