Every Konig pilot is familiar with these guns. They mount on the Konig Wolf’s back, folded up like a switchblade, and fold outward to fire. Deployment and calibration takes a second or two. The DSR actually has two modes: Normal and Extended-Range. In Normal range, they fire as normal rifles, complete with the normal accuracy, but in Extended-Range the rifles require three seconds to obtain a lock, and then they fire with deadeye accuracy. Extended range grants the Konig's pilot use of a rangefinder, in the form of a nifty little zoomed-in portion of the HUD. Note that, unless it mounts the AHUD, the Konig cannot maintain a lock after firing. In either range an individual rifle can only maintain a maximum rate of fire of once every three seconds; four shots in a six-second round. The bullets have enough penetration to go through most zoid armor, though they are just plain lousy at shieldbreaking due to a lack of explosive power. When the guns are deployed, they slow the Konig down by 20 kph.
