Mounting in the same hardpoint as the Twin Republican Supercannons, the TW-01 is a pair of cannon clusters, each cluster mounting a trio of rifles, a single tracer repeater on the outside of the mount. This is one of the oldest aftermarket modifications available, originally available only for the Gordos and Gojulas. It was intended as a poor man's TRSC. Subsequent alterations found it available to the Cannon Tortoise, mounting on the sides of the shell in a frighteningly overgunned little zoid. The Gorhecks was found to be capatible in much the same way the Cannon Tortoise was -- those open spots allowed for much easier access to the structure, making a relatively easy hardpoint. The Giga Gojulas, on the other hand, was designed for backwards-compatibility with some of the Gojulas's modifications. With a bit of renovation and the removal of the Tactical Missiles, the Salamander can mount the Ontos on a rotating turret, giving the guns 360-degree rotation and a 50-degree incline.
Redler pilots usually wet themselves when they see this gun in action.
When it mounts on the Gojulas, Giga Gojulas, or Gordos, the TW-01 is cabable of inclining up to thirty degrees, but with no horizontal movement. It is fixed facing forwards on the Cannon Tortoise and Gorhecks, relying upon the little tanks' abilities to move to get that killshot. Each barrel is capable of moving five degrees in any given direction so as to concentrate on a single target within two hundred meters. Each mount has only six cannon shells available to it, and the cannons are linked to all fire simultaneously with a reload time of two seconds. The cannons share a reloading mechanism that drops shells down from an armored magazine sticking up from the box-like base. The magazine and mount are both covered with armor to match the zoid they're on. There are two cannons on the side, and one underneath. The repeater cannon fits snugly in between the two side cannons. Unlike the bigger guns, the repeater does not have any real ammunition limitation. However, it fires tracer flares every three rounds. As we all know, tracers work both ways.
