Ok, thanks to Syko, we have an account for MTGUK just incase some of you feel like you wish to donate to make the forum and stuff a better place. Once we get enough, we'll be getting rid of the ads, dealing with some good banners and hopefully get our own domain up.

All people who donate put your name down here so people can see what AWESOME people you are ;)

Ive had a kind of half idea. not sure how it would work but I thought people might want to donate a card or 2 or a batch of commons of the same kind or something and we could make a donation cards thread where people could buy the donation cards and the proceeds go towards ad removal, domain name, posters for comic shops, ads on other sites etc.

Let me know if anyone would be interested in that

rather than send them in post them on mtguk in a donations page that way it would be more secure and we'd cut back on postage

yeah thats a good idea, maybe have a thread with the donation cards on the first post then below people offer for them and post their own donations. Then all these updates will be put on the first post like the good traders thread.
When a card is sold the money goes to either dark sabbath or our paypal account and the person who listed the card has to send it to whoever bought it.

Also should it be run like an auction lasting for say a week (with reserves) or should we let the members post prices. Let me know your ideas everyone. (especially Dark Sabbath, this would need your approval/editing obviously)

im game for that but should the donaters have some sort of fiancial gain for rares and good cards cause selling 50 commons isnt gonna get far

Hmm, maybe a percentage of the sale? I'm not sure, I need people's ideas on this. It is a donation though. Maybe the seller could request a percentage of the sale or something if they want it. I don't know, post your ideas people

Ok, if people want to put some of their cards up for donation, they may do so and perhaps we can sell them off, put them in some auction or something and the proceedings go towards making the board much better, domain name and such like Syko said.

IF people wish to do this, they can PM me with a list of the donations cards they will want to put up and we'll see what we can do. Since all of us live in the UK, we could easily put up with the sending of money and such. Like if people wish to donate cards, they can send the cards to me, i'll put them in the auction and we'll get this all sorted.

And since the people would have to pay for sending costs, they would be entitled to a % of whatever is left over in the MTGUK part of this auction or whatever.

We will have to make this more simple so more people can understand it so i'll get thinking up on a way this can be done without it getting complicated, like a set cost on what the donator can get back or something
