Title: f*ck

I knew this sh*t would happen. The Knicks took the Italian. I don't give a sh*t if D'Antoni played with his daddy. He's a small forward, too. He doesn't have the speed, handle, lateral quickness, passing ability or instincts to run point. So this'll be the third straight year the Knicks draft a small forward. His English isn't even good (not that the blacks do). Smith asks him about the boos and he said some sh*t like, "I want to help team win. Play defense, offense. We win games."

He's a bust. Am I saying that because he's a European? Yes. And I watched his highlight reel. He's like every European player whose highlight reel I've watched, except his shot isn't as smooth and his handle is a little better. You can expect 6 ppg, 2 rpg, 1 apg. And since he's 19, he'll be labeled a project and will be on the roster for two+ seasons before they trade him for some crap. He's the new Maciej Lampe.

I was hoping they'd move up and get Mayo, although Rose was my number one target before the Lottery. I was even willing to deal my boy Lee to Memphis for the #5 to do it. Then trade the #5 and #6 picks to Minnesota for the #3. I was also interested in Westbrook and thought he'd be there until the last few days.

The Knicks were in a bad spot. I didn't love anyone at #6. So I won't rip on Gallinari as I would have if I loved other players in this spot.

By the way, I saw the top 3 players in the Draft play earlier this year at the Garden. Rose, Beasley, and Mayo all played at the Garden in the Jimmy V Classic.

I knew they were going to draft this guy. :no1:

The Knicks are f*cking cursed. They got a terrible break with this #6 pick. We needed a great franchise-type PG/G and 3 of them went before the Knicks got to pick.

It didn't make sense drafting the 4th or 5th best G, so they just went with Aleloni Lamborghini.

"Me am strong. Put ball is basket. Play defense. Work hard. Help team Win."

You poor bastards. I knew when you drafted 6th, somehow the draft would be 5 deep. I'm gathering that's the situation that happened. When's the last European stud in the early rounds to workout? Does that Italian from Toronto play well? I'll always root for the Knicks from the backseat, and it's sad they got such bad misfortune.

Bargnani is decent. He averages 10 or 11 points per game and is a pretty good 3-point shooter, but that's a disappointment for the first overall pick. The guy's 7'0" and he shoots under 40% from the field. He's all perimeter. He shoots the sh*t out of the ball against the Knicks, but isn't as efficient against any other team. His 3-point percentage isn't much different from his overall shooting percentage, which means he's soft and either can't or is reluctant drive inside or post. And he doesn't rebound, which was to be expected. All the highlight reels of the European players look the same, pretty much. But Bargnani was supposed to be different because he could handle a little and had some quickness. He was said to be a more athletic Dirk Nowitzki.

After watching the 2nd half of the Summer League you can tell the guy has some skills. Him already having back problems worries me but I think he could be a very solid player in D'Antoni's system.
