What's your favorite sort of movie?

There's no one genre in particular that I prefer, but I like films with good storylines that make me think. A Beautiful Mind is a good example.

I would have to go with horror or fantasy. Either of those two and I'm happy.

Hmm, I love comedy. But I like anything with a bit of angst, romance, suspense, fantasy and action really.

I like chick flicks with the occasional heart stopping action adventure movie :D

I quite like action films!

Action adventures with new and exciting twists. I hate clichéd movie endings or predictable characters. Locations are really important too; a set can make or break a film for me.

Comedy, fantasy and action =]

I LOVE LOVE the Goonies, Charade, Red Eye, Spirited Away, and Mean Girls. They are all a bit different I feel. There is 80's comedy, old romantic suspense, Action-Thriller-Suspense type, Anime, and.. like whatever you say Mean Girls is. Sooooo...... I suppose Suspense and Action usually call my name though.

Epic fantasy movies (Lord of the Rings), "historical" movies (although I'm not one to complain about a film's historical accuracy, or inaccuracy, for that matter - I like films like 300, Troy, King Arthur, etc., that are based in a historic time frame. I don't care whether or not the events and characters are accurately displayed. It's a film, not a live reenactment of a history textbook), and romances that are thought-provoking and emotion-evoking, and not playing out the same old cliches.

I also like movies that make me cry, regardless of the genre. (And I mean cry in a good sense, and not crying because I'm praying the movie will end soon ). To me, it's a testament of how touching or powerful the storyline and/or characters are.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE korean comedies and romantic movies! :) And I'm a fan of oldies with Audrey Hepburn, Marylin Monroe and Cary Grant!
I'm a big fan of the original trilogy of Starwars and Indiana Jones. I love so much different things actually! Animation, SF, HF... (Disney, Ghibli, LOTR...)
