Description: Dun dun dun!
patch99329 - May 8, 2008 05:57 PM (GMT)
Next week my GCSE exams start, and will last for two months.
Not fun at all x_x
I'm revising a couple of hours a night, but It's okay because I get to sit outside in the sun :)
Does anyone else have exams soon?
Are you nervous?
How is revision going?
What about past exams, any experiences to share?
alicejelly - May 8, 2008 09:49 PM (GMT)
I have the same exams as youuu
As you know XD
Already done Spanish & Italian speaking, got French next. Written exams start Wednesday.
Revision is...hard. It still hasn't sunk in that we're on study leave (we left yesterday) and that our exams are next week. And the speaking exams are really badly timed, 'cause they take up most of my revision time. Meh.

They took study leave away for us this year!
The council decided that schools weren't taking it seriously.

Dunno about the schools, but I feel like I was the only one who used my study leave to actually revise XD
I have my final exams for my degree coming up at the end of this month. I usually do about five hours of revision a day, sometimes up to seven -_-. I'm very nervous - my biggest worry is that there wont be enough questions on the things I've revised for me to answer. Each exam is three hours long, and I need to write three answers of equal length. The trouble with my exams is that the questions could be on anything we've revised this year, but there's no way I can revise EVERYTHING, so you have to choose a few topics and hope they come up! *fingers crossed*. I should think I'll be ok, though. I just worry about it because that's how I am!
Good luck with your GSCEs guys!

Eh I just got done with AP testing this week and it was HELL! I had two tests on the same day, so I had to stay after school for roughly 2 hours after school, so about 9 hours of testing. it made my insides die a little bit inside.
I have a final exam later this month on Med/Phys Anatomy class but its really easy
redlantern - May 12, 2008 04:46 AM (GMT)
Treehugger, I feel your pain. *nods* My senior year of high school, I took 7 AP exams. It was the craziest time of my life.
Exams were last week and continue this week. I have one left in French (tomorrow) and then I'm done. Hallelujah! I had 4 exams and 3 final essays. Uuuugh. College drains me.

Im doing modular.
I had p7 today, and P4-6 in june. :(
alicejelly - May 15, 2008 05:26 PM (GMT)
P7?!
We're just doing 1-6. (4-6 this year).
Edit: Ohhhh, are you doing 21st-Century Science? I just looked it up. We're doing Gateway. Only six in that.
patch99329 - May 15, 2008 06:46 PM (GMT)
Lucky!
21st century is absoloutely awful! The coursework ..x_x
alicejelly - May 16, 2008 10:18 AM (GMT)
Our coursework is horrible too...but we had to redo it 'cause the exam board decided that they hadn't been marked properly.
Which is COMPLETELY unfair, because they actually changed the mark scheme and demanded that the coursework was re-marked. Ugh.
patch99329 - May 16, 2008 07:12 PM (GMT)
Thats awful!
We had to do a case study and an investigation thing for all 3 sciences.

I just finished my first year of pharmacy school! :) My finals weren't too bad, except for organic chemistry. x_x I passed the final by the skin of my teeth, and managed to pull a B- for the course. My overall GPA this semester was a 3.6 so I'm very happy. :)
itsjustcourt - May 20, 2008 01:37 AM (GMT)
My GPA was lower than I wanted this year but I'm going to pull it up next year easily. Study harder and all that. :) College is rough, especially when I'm two hours away with no car DX
