This is a simple way to create the "Aluminium" style used by mac's and apple...

1st - Create new image (choose the size at your will) with White Background.
2nd - Go to "Filter -> Noise -> Add Noise".
3rd - In the "Add Noise" window, put the "Amount" at 50% and select the "Distribution" to "Uniform". Dont forget to check the "Monochromatic" box. Click "OK".
4th - Go to "Filter -> Blur -> Motion Blur". In the "Motion Blur" window select a 0º "Angle" and choose a distance according to the disired (it changes from sizes of images). For example... in a 1024x768 image i selected a "Distance" of 73 Pixels. Click "OK"
5th - Duplicate Layer (Ctrl+J) and adjust the size of it to get rid of the edges effect.

And your done :) Now you have that cool look on the background!

Have FUN!

p.s. i'm sorry to dont supply images, but my work computer is a limited user so i'm not able to grab screenshots (i dont even have photoshop installed...damn stupid admins ;)

Is it supposed to look like this?

uhmmm... try make a bigger image... the result should be something like this...
www.ignatz.alojamentos7.com/bak/bakdesktop1024v3.gif

the amount of noise should be corrected probably for each size of image, as the pixel distance in the motion blur.

:)

ahhh, ok, it looks kool.

Check out the banner, i turned it into flash :)

the banner in flash is more clear now. but put it centered in the page ;)

one thing..can you change the color of the letters of the site? put it clearer, so it's easyer to read. black background with dark grey font color makes it a little hard to read to someone that uses a old CRT monitor.

:)

Yes im working on making it white. but i have no clue how to edit css so im going to have to screw around with it a little bit.

Edit: Fixed its all white now, it looks alot better i think.
