For those interested, I've finally decided to part with Chapter 11. It's probably crap because I've held on to it so lang (sorry, my freudian slip is showing!) and fussed but have a look anyhow. I think it's at least better than baseball! :lol:

You are utterly wrong in your assessment of your work ... IT IS NOT CRAP ... and yes I am shouting.

You modest duffer. It is good, it is insightful and it is indeed infinitely better than baseball (even though there have been some great books ie THE NATURAL and great movies ie THE NATURAL, FIELD OF DREAMS etc about baseball).

I am now about to go back to chapters 1-10, and will get back to you on those.

I am also looking forward to Chapter 12 if you just happen to be sitting on that one too. :D

rtl - I finally had a chance to read Chapter 11. Ta-da! I haven't read anything in weeks and yours was first on my list.

I like this a lot. The House/Wilson exchange throughout the beginning is right on the money. I can see and hear them both. And I'm not sure if you did this on purpose or not, but there's a quality to the *past-really pained* House that's different from the
*present- pained but dealing with it House* that I feel you capture really well. When Wilson puts his hand to the back of his neck, that's SO Wilson! Reading the exchange I find my inner voice saying what it always says when House and Wilson are together - "Jimmy, why are you taking that shit from him?" You have it so right having Wilson use questions to try to reflect back to House House's contradictions and pomposity. Perfect.

House Lo Mein! I'm going to have to order that next time I'm out for Chinese.
