*whew* This site is starting to get too big for me. LOL It's hard to keep up with all the great stuff people are writing and commenting about, here. LOL Of course, an 'embarrassment of riches' is never a bad thing... ;)

Good work, Marisol. I work with song parodies, so of course I have a soft spot for songfics (fanfics that employ or feature songs). I liked this piece--it was moody and evocative, much like jazz and House, themselves, are... B) I like how House says he's going to name the source of his melancholy... and then never does. LOL (Although there are hints in the piece. :) ) I like the part about the trumpet that will never be played again, too. (Also, as an old 'horn' player, myself, I like that style of music... I still have my trumpet, even though I haven't played it in a long, long time.)

I have a soft spot for songfics, too, although I'm always nervous about them. Since my life is dictated by music (looks at her shelf of music textbooks and such), I'm always leery of trying to express the feelings of others through music. But this story was just sitting there, man. I couldn't not write it. :)
