Title: B5b Which Episode?

Where is it mentioned that Wilson has been married three times? This has always been a well known fact, one that I learned when I first started watching. But I heard it through other fans and even though I've seen every episode now, I can't recall when it was actually said. I remember plenty of times when they make comments about how he's been married more than once, but not three times.

That was in the pilot, probably the unaired portion. (I was one of the fortunate ones with the DVD and never saw the aired version.)

Wilson is trying to convince House to take a case, saying the patient is important to him, and House comments that everyone is important to Wilson, adding something like "That's why you've been married three times."

Check the transcript for the exact dialogue.

Yup, the unaired pilot. I believe it goes something like this:

Wilson: [grabs House's cane as he's entering the elevator]

House: [stumbling] Would you grab someone's leg?

Wilson: This is important to me.

House: Everything's important to you. That's your pathology. It's why you've been married three times. Let go of my cane.

It's when Wilson is trying to get House to take the Adler case. The lines might be a bit off, because I'm doing it off of my head.

Thanks so much. That question just struck me when I realized I couldn't remember seeing it.

And Namaste, you are so lucky, getting the DVD!
