Carrot or Stick?

**ETA** 10/4/05 -- PPD is working hard to get the last of the fics up at the new site. Sorry Sam, we'll have these up in the next few days and I'll get the links going. Thank you for your patience!

The link to the Author Page is working so keep checking there. The stories will be there before I can get links posted.

Carrot or Stick ... this is a good one! Ineffectual: Bee buzzing around inside a jar. So get busy and add to this! I want to know more from Cuddy's POV. I have a sneakin' admiration for this broad, and I'd like to read more of your take on her. More, please!!! Bets;)

What was wrong with my bee metaphor? O.o

Auditrix - March 11, 2005 05:44 PM (GMT)
Bee, jar, I thought it was a great metaphor. When you revise, you may want to take a look at the word "futilely", though, and work the metaphor into the sentence a little more gracefully. Overall the fic could use some polishing for grammar, consistency of tenses, that kind of thing.

I like it. :) Cuddy is far more sympathetic than I think some people give her credit for, and I liked how you handled her POV.

Okay Sam, you have wedged yourself in my subconsious here!

I think this is why I picked you first. I love it when I can read something and pick up different little things each time. Different emotions, insights and direction. Both in this and 'Care and Feeding' I find different things each time I read it.

As Auditrix said I think Cuddy is more sympathetic than most give her credit for. I think she has put herself out for House more than he knows and more than she's willing to admit.

I can totally see her dragging him back into the world kicking and screaming and I think she knows how to play him a bit too.

Still a little curious about why you think she would feel guilty but I guess if you see some one go through something like that and you had the power to stop it (or thought you did) then I guess you'd feel guilty none the less. Kind of like plane crash survivors.

Please, please please keep writing. I absolutely love all the little subtle things you have picked up on and blended them into your work.

I like the bee simile too - such a great image and a perfect description of House. TS - I enjoyed reading this very much and look forward to more from you. !!
