Title: 2/1 Episode What did you think???
Jackie - February 2, 2005 03:27 AM (GMT)
I really enjoyed this week's episode. You really got to see a lot more of House's personality I think.
It was depressing when he was listening to the trumpet player go on about how they both have that "one thing" that keeps them going.
I enjoyed this one a lot, what about you guys?

I really liked it as well, but I also like to wait until the "House High" has worn off to really talk about an episode. I get so excited by the fact that I just saw a new episode my brain thinks it's like the best episode ever! LOL! But I do have to say there were a TON of great lines in this one!
:D :D :D :D

This week's episode was really really really good. It was nice to see House's "human" side almost- you know the part of him with the emotions that he is always hiding?
The end was soooo nice -a little cheesy, yes- but soo happy. My mom was crying  and i was close to cuz it was so happy and yeah  i'm very emotional....
Do you know what the best part was??? I was laughing so hard. Hold on let me just stop laughing now...Ok. Im done. Was how House moved him over the clinic so that he didnt have to do the hours and then when House yelled for Cuddy that was hilarious and that whole conversation between house/cuddy after he called for her was sooo super.
Yeah...I'll stop now. Im too excited over this episode!

"House High"---so that explains my shortness of breath and giddy nature...haha, I was wondering what was wrong. All this time I thought it was a sugar crash.
I'm going to go breath into a paper bag and sleep this one off. God help me if they ever have two episodes on the same night.

It's crazy! I watch House and I am always clinching my fingers and toes! I hang on every word and expression that man offers us! I'm a married woman...but damn! I am so obsessed with him!
I loved how he immediately ripped the tie off his neck as soon as he left the court room, and when the process server approached him and he said, "Cuddy sent me another stripper! She's so considerate!" :P

I was in tears at the end... not because of the ending, but because the entire hour overwhelmed me.... more later, after I've had time to get past the "House high" (great term!). Man! what a killer ep -- I've never seen such tight writing -- we learned so much in this....
And dammitall, I'm working away from home, living out of a motel, and I can't rewind the tape and watch it all over again! Won't have a chance to see it again till this weekend!!!
AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

cathyNH: I love your quote!! One of the great artistic eyes of our times!!!
Sorry, back on topic, I loved the part where Foreman is up at the board 'teaching'. That whole scene is just classic. Watching Cameron and Chase getting up and down was hilarious!!
As previously mentioned The One Thing scene was great as well as the ending.
My absolute favorite was the slow pan to him lying on the floor with the headphones on!!! If i weren't in love before I am now!!!
"He rhymes with dinner?!"

Ok, I guess my brain wasn't as messed up as I htought! I've now seen the episode 3 times and I have to say that if it isn't the best episode yet, it's at least in the top 2. I loved House's interaction with JH. That whole scene with The One Thing....gah! My boyfriend thought that I was going nuts...lol....well I am nuts, but that's beyond the point...lol.
I also really loved the scenes with Foreman "teaching" and House with his cane, I about died! Oh and the scene with him on the floor listening to music, gah! That's how I like to listen to music! :D
Oh, and House in court! I loved how he kept standing up to defend himself...lol...and the trick to get the judge to go for his crazy idea...lol...
Rubik's Complex! OMG! That made me laugh so hard!
"Say hi to my friend Jimmy." Another moment where I thought I was going to die from laughing.
Overall, this episode made me really happy! I loved the lines, and there was a lot revealed about the characters too, gah! Off to watch it again.

Wonderful ep! :-) I can't wait to get my hands on the transcript for this one... :-)
I've already waxed about this ep on another board, but I must repeat I think that this was an extremely powerful episode with lots of excellent exchanges/growth between the characters.
I was surprised that Cuddy had *hired* House. LOL about her putting aside the $50T/year for court costs... LOL
I loved the guest star who played Giles-- Harry J. Lennix. He completely *nailed* his part and it was electric watching him and Hugh Laurie onscreen together for their pivotal scenes.
I thought it was past time for House and Foreman to 'have a little chat,' too. House's parting shot in the tag of the episode was great: "See you tomorrow, *Eric.*" LOL I thought House handled the whole 'job offer' thing with Foreman extremely well.
It was sweet to see Wilson literally 'backing House up' when House had to go to court, etc. Elsewhere in the ep: I loved House's "This is *my* friend, 'Jimmy'" line, too. LOL
Good stuff. :-)
Hugs,
Sanlin

It was all around excellent. I think the stuff Giles said really hit home to House. Or hit House home? What ever, the point is everything said in the episode was an eye opener, to everyone. Do you think Foreman and House will look past their disagreements or keep the tension going?

I thought it was a great episode; I didn't think it was as controversal as the commercials made it out to be. If the muscian had been brain damaged or comatose, I think it would have been a bit more on the controversal side. I think it's going to be interesting to see how the relationship between Foreman and House develops; 2 headstrong doctors who disagree with each others methods. Next week's looks really good too; what exactly do they find in the Jane Doe's apartment? Guess we'll find out in 5 days!

Forgot to post my favorite lines:
House:(to young girl)Dr. Cuddy sent me another stripper? Love that woman. She's so considerate.
And:
Wilson: That girl dropped the charges against Kobe; it doesn't mean he should call her up and invite her out for a sundae.
Laughed until I cried! :P

House's jokey self is rubbing off on Wilson. About the difference between the Preview Commerical and the actual plot, I think they drum up all of the emotion in the commerical to get you hooked to watch it. 2/8's preview was very gripping and I hope that the show will be even more suprising.

As the season progress I hope that we see more of Hisue personality and sonme of his personal life. He pokes into eveyone else's life, why don't they mention something about him. I know somethings about House but not alot. I bet Wilson knows something about him that we do not know.
