Title: "No More Mister Nice Guy"

This episode was a nice return from the strike-induced hiatus (and, ironically, was at least partially about a strike, lollerskates!)

The House/Wilson interaction in this ep was PRICELESS.

And CTB was actually not too annoying.

My favorite line - "Enjoy your play date"

And the ducklings actually got some screen time for once *shockamazement*

I think House is going to end up stealing Wilson's girlfriend... well maybe for a night or two. Can't see him getting into a serious thing with CTB but I can see him liking her enough to sleep with her a few times, not only for his own shits and giggles, but also to piss off Wilson.

Yay! Someone else started the thread. Proof that rumors of the board's demise are exagerated afterall (c'mon you wouldn't know me without at least one literary reference/smart remark :P ).

I too enjoyed this episode, whether because of deprivation or actual quality (ATM I'm leaning toward actual quality). The dialogue was really good this time. The Wilson-CTB-House triangle is hilarious. But Wilson needs to grow a pair. On one hand, I dream of commanding that level of fear and awe from those I know, on the other hand. . . Wilson really needs to grow himself a pair. :P Jeeze, remember when we thought he was the well adjusted one? Proof maybe House is right, everybody's screwed up.

On that subject, I don't know that nice is pathological. Granted, there are people out there who are just too nice/happy, but I see it as a personality defect or some deep mental illness (just kidding, sort of). On the other hand, TPOTW could have been like me: really nice until you tick them off or get to know them well enough to witness the "decompression". I actually missed exactly what they found out was wrong with him in the end, I was basically too busy trying to guess what the real answer to House's positive test was. I know it wasn't syph, but . . .

I knew, mostly, that House couldn't really have syphillis-- at least I was hoping the show wouldn't stoop to giving us that easy of an answer of how he got the way he is, or being so melodramatic. I was guessing that the blood was left over from last year's "cancer stunt" as that guy did turn out to have neurosyphillis IRC. You have to figure House, even being arguably passively suicidal, would be more careful than that. What with Georgia and all, end stage syphillis has been portrayed as a somewhat painless death, but, while it may result in mellowing one out (I have no idea), the rest of it can get pretty painful, and undignified (House's comment aside about not being able to die with dignity, I doubt he'd take the chance of being in that much pain, or that much embarassment whether he was aware of it or not-- back in the "day" people with end-stage syphillis wound up in mental institutions, for a reason apparently, that should explain the situation well enough).

For a minute, when House wanted to talk to Wilson alone--given that Wilson may be the one in danger in last episode according to spoilers-- I started to worry that House had "borrowed" Wilson's blood and he was the one with syphillis-- so House wanted to give him the opportunity to get treatment and to be the one to tell Amber/CTB that she probably had it too (or else he wanted to see CTB have syph, or imply that CTB gave it to Wilson).

Next ep. is a field trip. Now that should be fun. Also having just had a performance review-- no worries it went well-- I think I'd prefer the House version, as if nothing else, less nerve wracking (no matter what I still get that old "in-trouble-and-called-to-the-principal's-office" feeling every time).

Maybe House will "steal" CTB, on the other hand I'm sort of afraid that would result in a catastrophic collapse of some type or the other of the fabric of the universe. That much calculation and stubborness in one place is pretty scary. Now that I think about it, I have to wonder was CTB telling the truth when she said she was trying to slow down before, or is she really planning to mess with House via his best friend?
