Devoted To Hugh forumI don't know if it was FOX or NBC/Uni (which shut down the original transcripts site) because at this point I'm not sure it was even related to the Devoted to Hugh site.
Helen ran several site and she closed them all. The way FOX, NBC/Uni has been cracking down on YouTube makes me suspicious but the way Helen phrased what she told the mods leads me to think it has nothing to do with that. But I don't know really, and I know you're not asking me to speculate, so I won't.
I can just say that I am saddened by the loss of such a wonderful resource. So many people discovered the depth of Hugh's career there, it's a shame that someone felt the need to ruin that.
If it's a supposed fan they need to be slapped back and run off. Unfotunately, it seems, at least from my past experience, they seem to be cowards taht hide in the shadows, stike and run away so it is very hard to present a uniter front against these idiot.
If it's the corporate goons they need to realize that without fnas they have no show and to keep attacking fans and fan sites without any real benefit in mind, they will end up alienating fans. With this latest round of crackdown they have been accomplishing that.
And don't get me wrong, I believe that they have a right to protect their intellectual property and the excuse that "everybody's doing it" doesn't hold water for me. But I just don't see the point. It's not damaging them financially, if fact probably just the opposite. It's free advertising for them, doesn't cost them a cent to produce and promote the show! The different ships help keep conversation lively and prompts closer inspection and interest in the show.
For FOX NBC/Uni to go after folks like that is, in my mind, counterproductive.
Anyhow, this is just turning out to be a sucky House season. I still love the show and all but with the writers strike killing the remainder of the season and this I can't wait for this to be over and hopefully get a fresh start in the fall.
One positive, Hugh is finally getting an extended break at a time when I think he most needed it. Hopefully he'll come back refreshed and ready for another 4 seasons.
