Title: episode 7

I really really liked this episode! It was interesting to see House and his fellows reactions to being on camera..and espeically House's own reaction to realizing that his ducklings make him look like an idiot on camera.. LOL. I Loved that scene with Wilson and House in the room when they were watching the video footage.

Loved the Huddy interaction, especially the scene where House and Cuddy were watching the video footage..House's reaction to watching the video footage, I wonder if that was House just being House or was that Hugh's personality showing up. Either way..great scene.

It was great to see more House/Wilson interaction! My favorite scenes were when House and Wilson were looking at the video footage and when House came in and saw that Wilson was being video taped.

I think House did the right thing by firing CIA Woman..there was something off about her. I'm glad that House kept Plastic Surgeon Guy..House is right, he's interesting.

What was up with Cameron acting like she was 12 and saying that she loved House and then tried to cover it up in front of the camera? gooftball! The funniest scene with her was when she was practicing her 'I'm sorry I didn't mean to say I loved House' speech.. uggh!

Next week's episode looks great!! House wants Cuddy's thong..a man on a mission!

God and peace

Woo Hoo! House is back! This is the first time I've been really happy after a House episode since the second one this season. I didn't even want to post comments about last week's episode, because I didn't want to be overly negative. But this week was awesome! Not perfect, of course, but House was back in character, Wilson and Cuddy had great moments, and the new and old ducklings were incorporated into the story in natural, purposeful ways.

Also, besides being laugh-out-loud funny, the show played with ideas in intelligent ways. True, the concept that what one looks like on the outside changes what people see in you is hardly earth-shattering, but the episode explored this idea in creative ways: the hatchlings being concerned about how they look on camera, House worrying about how he might be blinded by beauty, people not looking carefully enough at the patient. And, of course, the "caring House" images spliced together at the end, which doesn't at all represent the real guy . . . except that the patient was genuinely (and with good reason) grateful.

Really, it's hard to pick favorite moments, but Wilson telling the film crew that House is a Wiccan and Cuddy and House watching the documentary together at the end definitely rank high. :-)

someone commented over at hl.co.uk that House said blew the janitor in order to get the keys to the a/v room.. I could've sworn he said Lou the janitor..

am I imaging things?

I'm wondering, is there any reason for House to've hired and now fired CIA lady? I mean I know House has a reason for keeping around his new Ducklings and firing others..but it seems to me that CIA lady was just taking up space, ya know? that there was no real purpose to House keeping her around other than she looked hot and eventually made him look like an idiot in front of the camera.

God and peace

Yes, this one felt much more "on" than the last few have. It's not going to be my favorite of the season though, I suspect. All House's shenanigans with the camera crew were funny and about what you'd suspect out of him. I'd probably wind up being the same way.

I have to say that I kept expecting the footage at the end to be some kind of "gag reel" that Cuddy had the camera crew make to play a joke on House. I was surprised when it wasn't although I guess in hindsight given what I know about the writing of articles I shouldn't be. Usually things don't get reshuffled quite that much-- it's definitely possible to do, but also definitely very unethical, to the point that it would have been hammered repeatedly into everyone's head from the beginning ethics classes on-- but at least with articles, and I suspect it's the same for film, only a fraction of the questions and topics actually make it into the final draft.

I can like plastics guy a little better now since it appears he may be one of the "good" plastics guys in my definition (the good ones being the ones who correct deformities or rebuild features after trauma and no I don't buy for a minute the excuse about having smaller boobs than average being a deformity, 'kay, yes Dr. Jan Adams of Discovery Health I'm talking to you, whew, got a bit distracted there). I was wondering about his chances of staying on after he revealed his addiction to infidelity though, afterall, as I said to the TV, we already have one Wilson.

I can't say I'm sorry to see Michael Michele (did I spell that right, I think I did, I remember always thinking that's a male name and being surprised it's attached to an actress instead), go. It did seem sort of wierd to bring her on for another episode, but oh, well, she's gone now. And as a bonus all the people on the TWOP boards who were whining about her show killing abilities and how they think she's actually ugly can breathe a sigh of relief and/or shut up. On the story line, yep, sorry House, I'm afraid you are human after all, Wilson is right. Interestingly though, I'm probably the opposite, it's the ones who are too pretty that always make me nervous-- I hate to say it, but if I knew Wilson in real life, I'd be suspicious of him, he's just a bit too perfect in both looks and manners, then we all know I'm a wierdo deep down so. . .

I feel for poor Chase. Out of the ducklings, he seems to be the one who moved on best-- House was right he was ready-- but he just can't get away after all, then he's attached to Cameron. The poor boy has to spend half his time salving her ego. I still think the boy could certainly get himself a better girlfriend than that--and it's not just my annoyance with her character's previous actions speaking, yes it's part of being in a relationship to reassure your partner once in awhile, but not, every freakin' time you turn around, especially when they're obviously still hung up on someone else.

That leads me to Cameron, a clear case of "Methinks the Lady doth protest too much" going on there. If she were truly over House she wouldn't be so concerned about the way her statements were interpreted. And I do totally get what she was trying to say, being around House would be a stimulating, educational experience, this coming from the the person who usually loved the professors/teachers that everyone else hated and didn't care for some of the ones who everyone else raved about.

I don't know, maybe she's over him the sense that's she's realized she shouldn't pursue him anymore, but the crush is still there. Actually I have less of a problem with this than when she acted on the crush. I have definitely crushed on authority figures before but for many reasons have never acted on the crush because for whatever reason (age difference, already taken, etc.) and it's likely I'll do it again, so that I can relate to, whereas the going ahead and pushing things, especially when she was getting such clear signals that her efforts were unwelcome, was something that seemed foolish and creepy to me, as well as immature.

Oh, yes I definitely got a kick out of Cameron's patient in the interview scene too. I totally know people who would do that.

Housefan43ver I have to say I heard blew the janitor too. Then later Wilson said his name is Lou (or did he say it wasn't, I can't remember). I think it was intentional actually, we were supposed to hear blew and wonder if House was serious or being his usual outrageous self--and House also wanted Wilson to wonder the same thing-- and then have the clarification that it was from a janitor named Lou or something that sounded similar. So basically, I think he said, or we were at least supposed to hear, both.

 I think this was the best episode they've aired in weeks, it was hilarious! Especially Cameron dithering on and on about her Freudian slip.

And the part at the end where House had pinched the video - "I'm starting to feel like I can never trust another Micheal Moore film"

And for the record, I also think he said "Blew the Janitor" I think he was yanking Wilson's chain as usual.

Absolutely happy with this one, and as someone else said, it's the first time in a while I've felt that way, so it makes it even better. The writers and directors were really spot-on this time, and I think the actors sensed that too.

I think one of the reasons it was so good was that the writers let each actor do what his or her character does best. Cuddy got to trade sparks with House while trying to hide it from the public. Wilson got to have some friendly, engaging scenes with House in which he wasn't a caricature of his "conscience" role. Foreman got to roll his eyes and mostly stay out of House's way. Cameron got to not be taken so seriously by the writers. Chase--well, he still didn't get much screentime, but he got to be easygoing and quietly amused at everything. And House got to do his job. As far as I'm concerned, that's a standing formula for success.

Also, I like seeing everyone in black and white, for some reason. Probably a shallow reason, as I kept noticing how pretty everyone looked tonight. (Was it my imagination? Not the ones who were trying to be pretty for the camera, but like House and Cameron and Wilson and Chase.) Kind of ironic, given the episode theme.

On a related note, it's winter! Where are my sexy winter clothes? I want to see House in that hat. And maybe even Chase in that ski cap. They haven't gone outside enough this season.

Nice clever tie-ins with the episode theme kept cropping up in all sorts of places, which is another thing I've missed lately. Also, I think it's episodes like this one that prove that you can have a satisfying, thoughtful episode without anything overtly significant or dramatic happening between the characters. I think most fans like it better when their fanwanking isn't done for them. If that makes sense.

Tonight's House/Wilson=beautiful.

No, I got "Lou," so when House said "That's his name," I was like "What?" I was kind of excited House knew the guy's name. I thought maybe it was the backwards-pants guy. Blew makes more sense. ^^

I feel weird saying this, but Cameron was the less annoying for me tonight than she's been in a while. I was actually laughing when she was practicing in front of the mirror. Clueless Cameron will never be my favorite character, but I like her much better than Tough Love Cameron or House's Equal Cameron or whatever she thinks she is nowadays.

So yeah, I thought the whole thing was really well done. Felt like old times. So...don't drop the ball, guys. ;)
