Welcome Meg! I'm glad you found us! I hope you enjoy the place, although now that were finished with season tow here in the US we're depending on the other folks around the world, that are still watching , to light up the place.

Feel free to fire up any old topics and get us all thinking again.

As always, if you have any questions, comments or suggestions please feel free to ask. We're are a friendly bunch and only the plot bunnies bite without being asked!

So what got you interested in House?

Hi rtlemurs,

I think I'm at least three episodes behind the US so I still have lots to look forward to! :D

I'm not sure how I got interested in House, I was flicking through the channels and it looked like the most intelligent thing on. Plus I was a bit of a Hugh Laurie fan anyway :P what about you?

That works. So what other things have you seen Hugh in? What's your favorite?

I saw the ads and thought it looked interesting. I'm not a huge medical drama show fan but I saw that good looking dude in the ad and though I might watch it to find out who that is.

Before the show aired I caught another ad and they mentioned Hugh Laurei, RSL, Omar Epps and I thought WOW! What a cast, and Hugh Laurie, that's Mr. Palmer from Sense and Sensibility. I loved him in that!

I tuned in on the appointed date and time and have booked my Tuesdays through eternity for this show. :D Unless of course they move it to another day and time but I can adjust!

My favorite role he's had besides House is Jools Siviter in Spooks. Only two episodes but he just stole the show. His scenes at the opera and drinking with Harry were just top notch.

um, i saw Hugh in one episode of Blackadder (channel flicking yet again... saw a man in a wig and Elizabethan clothes saying 'That George, he's as clever as a stick in a bucket of pigswill' and thought, hmm, this looks weird :D ) briefly in Stuart Little and in a film called Maybe Baby, hich nobody seems to have heard of <_< but blackadder rules :D

i'm not a huge medical drama fan either... i was worried they'd keep saying things like 'have you run a filprignatic scan for flockynockyneehil disease?' and other such worrying things... but now it's made thursday my favourite day
 apart from sunday of course...

i haven't seen him in sense and sensibility... or spooks... were they more serious roles or comedy?

rtlemurs - June 3, 2006 04:11 PM (GMT)
I've seen 'Maybe Baby' both versions in fact! It definitely gains something in those extra thirteen minutes. Faovirte line..."There's in a plastic pot, how would they know which direction to swim" (or somthing like that!). "bumping into each other, getting their abnormal tails tangled up"

Yeah, I'd say S&S and Spooks were more serious roles but they had their funny moments. Like House, it's serious but has it's humour.

I loved him in Blackadder too, but more as Lt. George than Prince George. Not that Prince George was bad or anything, very funny in fact, but there was a very lovable quality to Lt. George very similar to Bertie Wooster. And I find Bertie absolutely adorable! I cannot picture anyone else in that role.

I love black adder I agree with Rt that Lt.George was better but I love that quote by Prince George "socks are like sex: tons of it
about, and I never seem to get any."

mini-meg - June 3, 2006 05:05 PM (GMT)
HOORAY!!! yeah, that lines great :D i like the sperm test song... very unexpected... 'i've got a sperm test tomorroooo0000oooow....'

i preferred Prince George, but they were both equally funny i think
:D

I think it be cool if someone made a show in the same vein as blackadder where each season is a different time period.
