Title: Pointless Speculation - Season Finale
Benj - May 22, 2006 11:36 PM (GMT)
So we aren't going to be doing this again for way too long so - bit of pointless speculation anyone?
Crack theories?
Any 'OMGifthathappensI'mnevergonnawatchagain' scenarios?
My wish list -
House pain ('cause I'm all twisted like that)
House/Wilson angst
Needles/Hookers/StevieMac
A car chase
A blazing inferno
Cuddy's arse (Kinsey sooo had a point)
Stacy *ducks flying canes*
Vogler *hides in nuclear bunker*
God
House's forearms ('cause four/five/aaarggh six months is a long time)
Make me cry list-
Lingering House/Cameron moments
So anyone? C'mon it's last chance saloon time...

*laughs* Great ideas. I thought I was the only one warped enough to be looking forward to House in pain. And I wonder if Stacy'll hear about this...or for that matter, House's parents. @_@
I'm still hoping the "getting rid of the cane" thing is just a rumor.
I hope this Moriarty guy is clever. If we're going to have an archenemy, let's make it good. *insert maniacal laughter*
And...Cuddy's pregnant?! *gasp* No! Who's the father? What do you mean, we'll find out next season? B*stards!
...I don't think that would shock me too much at this point, actually...^^;

Hmm. I don't know. I agree I don't want the leg thing to be true--but from what I've gathered it's probably not-- and I agree, no lingering Cam/House moments. From the previews we will see House wandering around in a hospital gown, so that's all good. I'm all for the insight into House's psyche this is supposed to give us, unless of course it proves all my theories wrong :P then I'll spend the summer cursing them and pretending it all didn't happen.
I'm not sure about the pregnant Cuddy thing. I like the storyline so far, but I'm not sure I want it to work out for her, at least not yet. If they do it I hope they avoid all the pregnant character cliches. Does anyone know by the way, if this is just an idea the writers had, or if it's accommodating something for Lisa Edelstein (if she's not currently, she' planning on it or something)? Just curious.
I do hope they let us know if House is okay or not by the end of the ep. I don't think I can take House in a coma for the whole summer, or having him flatline, then fade to credits. I know they can't kill him because afterall, what's the name of the show, but still there is a multitude of possibilities to really mess something up.
I don't think I want to see Stacey again so soon unless it's either a flashback or she's a hallucination. The Stacey arc didn't bother me, I even sort of liked the character, and even more the idea of the character, but I've had enough of her for now. Now having the parents back again sounds like a good idea, but could easily turn overkill if they're around too long. Ultimately I'd rather find out about the parents in little doses now that we've met them rather than have big exposition plopped in the middle of everything.

Great thread Benj! So much potential. B) ANd, you crack me up!!!
On the speculation front, I think the Cuddy wanting a baby thing isn't going to go away. I think that brings some nice tension to the show in that most people don't want the "soap operaish" connotations of the 'will it be House or Wilson's baby' but they would probably not go that route anyway. Even if she doesn't pursue the baby thing , I'm sure she will find (or try to find) something to fill that hole and that will be fun to watch. Not only Lisa's performance but the fun House will have with whatever she chooses. Or will he?! Love it!
I predict that Wilson's fling with the cancer patient will come back to haunt him in a legal way and House will save his job as return payment for the loss of it in "Babies". We're even now.
I think we may get a peek of Cuddy/House college days and a hint at what their relationship was, if anything.
On the ducklings, I think we'll meet Cameron's sister, who turns out to be a wild thing and goes after House, much to his amused pleasure, causing Cameron to fight back in an equally amusing manner.
Turns out Chase is broke because one of his old dominatrix pals is blackmailing him. Phots turn up on the internet and Cameron is appalled. Chase calls her on this, wanting to know what she was doing on S&M sites. She gets pissy with him and goes on for three episodes about that until Chase is hit by a bicycle messenger causing him to lose his memory.
Foreman, well he's had enough air time this seaason and I just can't think of anything new and interesting, other than his mom dies and that's just not funny.
That's my speculation, now on to what I'd like to see...
Okay, I'm sadly normal and hopeless because I just want more of the same. Lots of little peeks into each and every character, maybe some occasional bombshells that just raise infinitely more questions than the ones they've answered.
Definitely more S.McQ the coolest rat in town! And more of House in pain, I just loved the pacing last week!
And yes Benj, more House\Wilson angst please :)
I agree with you too Catlady! More Stacy in flashbacks would be great in moderation.
Okay, one strange wish, Julie. I still don't believe she's a bitch. I believe it's was very complex relationship or lack of relationship. I also am endlessly facsinated by the fact that House knew her name. Not that House doesn't play the whole name forgetting thing up sometimes but I still find that interesting. I want to know more about her.
Maybe even meet more of House's aquaintances. The poker game might be an interesting, recurring scene. Not overdoing it mind you but at least a couple of times.
Plus the inference that House was in a band way back when with Crandall would be interesting to explore. Maybe find that he is secretly in a band now or plays in a bar down the road when he feels like it.
I loved the little reveal about young House looking for mummies in Egypt so more of that kind of thing would make me grin like the fool that I am.

I could see that.
Well, not exactly that plot, but the Cameron holding a grudge part, certainly. Maybe over the summer she will take some sort of Zen yoga class and learn to let things go.
Though a lot of characters on this show have trouble letting things go . . . which is why the show is so effective.
So, whose parents do you think we'll see next? Wilson's? Cameron's? Cuddy's?
That would be good - I wonder what Cuddy's are like? "What do you mean you want to have a baby by yourself?" I could see the previous generation freaking out about that.
Did House say he had met Wilson's parents at some point? I wonder how that went.....
Hurrah pointless speculation! ;)
mini-meg - June 1, 2006 05:32 PM (GMT)
i've always wanted something really, really, REALLY random and weird to happen (Stacy ducking flying canes sounds good, as does blazing inferno, car chase and cuddy's arse) or maybe that's because I'M random and weird? hmm...
plus more of house's parents would be nice...

Ah-yup. Histories, I believe. Heh, me too. Bet it was interesting to say the least. I wonder if they hate him like Wilson's wife did...
sayuri - June 14, 2006 05:37 PM (GMT)
For some reason I've always wanted to see House hijack an ambulance... ^_^
Lily - June 16, 2006 04:04 PM (GMT)
That would be kind of cool. :D
I wonder if House will ever meet/treat Wilson's "lost brother?"
Armchair Elvis - June 17, 2006 08:07 AM (GMT)
I really want to see House bang his head on something. For some reason.
Yeah, I'm twisted like that.
