5. Obvious now, but House is physically addicted to the Vicodin and seems to be using it to treat pain besides the pain in his leg.

6. Wilson knew him before the infarction. I think this is important for setting a time-frame, because Wilson is clearly younger than House and they would NOT have gone to med school together. Ergo, House was already a doctor when the infarction occurred.
