Between 1200 hours and 1600 hours on Monday 18th September 2006 a horse box was stolen from isolated farm grounds in Leyland, Preston, Lancashire.

Offender (s) are believed to have picked the lock and smashed the steering column, part of which was left at the scene.
DESCRIPTION
Vehicle is a Bedford 913. 7.5 tonne single axle turbo horse box registered number B314XFV. It is very distinctively painted bright blue with yellow stripes. Chassis number: SKFDJM38GET108138. Valued at £10,000.

4 x horse rugs, royal blue in colour with yellow binding. Rugs bear the Chrysler Car logo and the horses name ‘The Earl of Toplands.’ Valued at £1500.
2 x brown leather unique bridles. On the noseband are two silver crowns and crosses. Valued at £500.
2 x dark brown leather training saddles. Valued at £300.
Various items of grooming equipment including combs and brushes. Valued at £500.
A white box containing a gents crown bowler hat. ‘Crown Equestrian’ on the top of the box. Valued at £200.
At some point during the day friends of the owner saw the horse box being driven north on the M6 by the offender (s). They were unable to provide a description.
