We have or I should say Emzkes has managed to arrange a very special day for you at Blair Horse Trials next year. 24th August 2008

The championship is also supported by ROR who are donating the trophy for this too.

Other classes proposed are as follows.

Open in hand with award for best veteran,
In hand champion of champions

Open ridden with specials for best junior rider
Ridden champion of champions
Competition horse class with jumping
and either novice ridden or specials for best novices in the open class.

THere will also be a parade and presentation in the main Arena too.

All the finer details are still to be discussed but bascially that is what has been preliminary arranged.

I am sure you will all thank Emzkes for her hard work and support her in this as much as you can. I am sure it will be an outstanding day for you all.

Blair Horse Trials are fantastic. We have competed at the NPS Scotland champ finals there with our welsh pony and it is a great atmosphere and fantastic setting.
This is a great coup for ex racers.

just to add... that altho this is a Scottish Championship show anyone from south of the border who would like to attend would be most welcome. Blair Atholl is easy to get to from the south being straight up the a1 and then onto the a9. maybe nearer the time we could look into how we can help more people to get there with maybe sharing transport, hiring transporters together etc.

also for anyone who would like to come without a horse to spectate, help, party... the venue is fairly easy to get to from Edinburgh airport THUMBeS

i realy hope this can be a great event for the ex racers club, and will give the club and ex racehorse a lot of exposure and wil go along way towards promoting ex racehorses in scotland. :) should be great crack for the humans too! : CELEBRATIONS :

I can also now confirm that Baileys Horse Feeds will also be supporting this by offering prizes to those in the Novice class too or to the best Novice in the Open class which ever is decided.
