Does anyone have any information on where and how he is?! Was/is a point-to-pointer and used to be trained by Alan Tizzard, ridden by Charlotte Tizzard. He was a lovely looking chap and a bit misunderstood in the stable
Here he is...

I remember this horse quite well, pretty sure I ahve some videos with him on somewhere. If I remember rightly, the season before last he raced under different ownership with a novice rider on - pretty sure I saw him run at the first Barbury meeting.

Why don't you call Weatherbys? 01933 440077 ask for Eclipse Pedigrees - tell them you are trying to find the horse and give them his name. They should be able to tell you if he's still in training and if so who with. If he's not they can often give an indication of what the horse is up to as they hold information on racing under rules and also point-to-point stuff. They should be able to tell you if the horse is dead or not too (worst case scenario). They can also (for a price) produce really nice race records and 5 and 7 gen pedigrees. I used to work for them before I joined the Army and that was a big part of my job. They are very helpful so long as you don't take the mickey in what you ask for. In fact that is a good point for all budding researchers out there PHONE WEATHERBYS AS YOUR FIRST POINT OF CALL WHEN TRACING EX-RACERS. Their website (www.weatherbys.co.uk) is fairly useful too as you can check on the relatives of your horse and order pedigrees online. They also produce and hold copies of HORSES IN TRAINING and if the info you are after is listed in there, will be able to give you trainers names and numbers etc.
Another useful site is www.racingpost.co.uk, you can get your horses race record for free and download vidoes of him or her racing if they still have them. The race records aren't posh enough to frame but are handy for research and there are other features such as relatives searches, sales prices and so on. They don't hold point-to-point stuff but will cover hunter chases.
Also try 'The Directory of the Turf' a bible for racing fans.
If anybody wants any further info on this sort of stuff feel free to ask, I did it for years and will be happy to help and I do hold some copies of Horses in Training and stallion books which might be handy. email sarahdolden@hotmail.com
Happy hunting!

You could try looking at Mackenzie & Selbys for the last couple of seasons. That would tell you all you need to know.
