Hi. I have a mare by Distinct Native and am very interested to find out more about this sire. I'd love to be able to find a piccy of him on the web somewhere.
Could any of you knowledgeable racing people please help?
Many thanks Stoorie
He is 20yrs old, and was nothing great on the track, but was considered ok bred.
He was trained in Newmarket by Robert Armstrong, and was owned by Dr Cornel Li.
He is by Be my Native and out of Miami Life, who was by Miami Springs, suggested distance he would get 1mile to a mile and a quarter.
He had 6 starts, 5 on the turf and 1 on the all weather.
he had a 2nd and a 3rd on the turf and a win on the all weather....total prize money won £8,638.
He has run at York, Southwell(AW), Ascot, Leicester, Yarmouth and Newmarket. His jockeys was, Alan Munro, Bryn Crossley, Micheal Kinane, Colin Nutter and Adam Shoutts (only M.Kinane is riding out of those and C. Nutter is sir Mark Presscotts head lad)
These are his siblings, 2 full sisters, 1 half brother and 1 half sister:
Native Joy (IRE) 91 m Be My Native (USA)
Able Millenium (IRE) 96 g Be My Guest (USA)
Able Lass (IRE) 94 m Classic Music (USA)
Make Me Proud (IRE) 89 m Be my Native (USA)
I can only find 5 offspring by him:
Robert the Bruce 12yr Chestnut gelding. L. Lungo
Desert Storm (died as a 6 yr old) L. Lungo
Native Lady 11yr bay mare. F. Murtagh
Border Native 11 chestnut gelding. A.Parker
Tudor Native 11yr bay mare. A.Parker
Anything else you want to know, just give us a shout.....Robert Armstrong is no longer training.
Many thanks for getting back to me. Very interesting. You wouldn't happen to know where abouts he is??
Stoorie
Your stallion was a chestnut and there is an Irish event horse called Voodoo by him who was competed by Alice Kehoe. I would say he stood in Spain for a time as there are 24 offspring by him, all with Spanish names and Spanish thoroubreds in their pedigrees. You never know, he may still be standing in Spain or Europe.
If you want any more info on those 24 let me know.
OMG :JAWDROP: mick is 'take my side' out 'fight for it' and by 'be my native'
