No. Because most Americans think the Confederate battle flag WAS the Confederate flag. It wasn't ...

Since no one flys the real Confederate flag, and the schools teach the politically-correct thing, it follows that the American people are not stupid, but ignorant. Ignorance is not a negative. It just requires proper education.

The Bonnie Blue wasnt an official flag of the Confederacy, nor did it originate with the Confederacy. Thats probably why really no one associates it with them anymore, especially not as much as the Stars and Bars, Southern Cross, or the 2nd and 3rd national flags (those both have the Southern Cross on them).

The Bonnie Blue isnt a symbol of the Confederacy...it is (and was before the whole secession...thing) more of a symbol of the South. There IS a difference.
