Title: Chocolate City?
Description: WTF!?!
Lord Alameda - January 17, 2006 03:49 AM (GMT)
New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagan has stated that God told him the Big Easy should be a "Chocolate City" --that New Orleans should be a black city for blacks!
Can you imagine what would happen to a white politician if they said, "God told me New Orleans should be a white city"?!?
Unbelievable.
"I have a dream... where little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls and walk together as sisters and brothers."
So much for that plan. <_<

I heard that statement earlier today. What has happened to King's view of a colorblind society? EVERYTHING is based on skin color, gender, sexual orientation, ad infinitum in the West.
Personally, I'm sick to death of the "race issue". It's been beat to death by the Left, and used as a means of pandering to trapped minorities for votes.
I have a nephew (by marriage) who is black. I consider him to be one of the finest people I know. The first time I met him was the only time I really noticed that he was black. Now, I just tell people that he's my nephew.
He an engineering grad of MIT, working for a great company. He has achieved the American dream in a big way. The only people who seem to hate him are the members of his own race, who regularly call him an "Uncle Tom" and much, much worse.
When it comes to the issue of race, the Left has betrayed everything that Martin Luther King stood for, and they should be ashamed of themselves for creating a sub-nation of people who would gladly trade their opportunities and liberties for some payback.
Enough ranting, for now ...

What a bloody muppet, I hope he gets tied to a chair and thrown down a flight of curly stairs, with some sharp object in his mouth.

Funny, but there isn't not much room for debate. He's kind of like Pat Robertson.

Well...except that Nagin's the mayor of a major city in the United States, while Robertson is just on a TV show (among other...not so important...things). ;)

He really meant milk chocolate. You know, milk is white.
So he's really being racist against Asians. Mother****er.

He was slighting whites, asians, hispanics, middle-easterners.....
Gotta hand it to him, he doesn't discriminate in his bigotry and racism. <_<

True. The only reason I brought up Pat Robertson was that both say things that few people are willing to defend. Threads about them are amusing, but what's there to argue about? In the end, this thread is just depressing because it shows how little sanity is needed to hold an important office, while not creating any interesting debate.

Pat Robertson is also GWB's "spiritual advisor" anyhow doesn't New Orleans already have a majority black population? thats what he meant by chocolate city. I don't think he was being racist in anyway. Talk about spin.
But Ray Nagin is still an idiot. Here's why:
"Surely God is mad at America. He sent us hurricane after hurricane after hurricane, and it's destroyed and put stress on this country," Mr Nagin said.
"Surely he doesn't approve of us being in Iraq under false pretences.
"But surely he is upset at black America also. We're not taking care of ourselves."
