1st Quarter:
Redskins 7, Bucs Zippo
:D
1ST Quarter:
Redskins 14, Bucs Zippo
:D
So far the Skins are completely manhandling the Bucs! B)
Roosevelt - January 7, 2006 10:25 PM (GMT)
If the reds win than who do they face off with? My home teams been eliminated and my other favorite is on the other side of the country so I'm not really updated on the playoff schedual.

If the Skins win, they will be playing The Seattle Seakhawks next week.
A team we already beat earlier this season. :D
Meh,.... 2nd Quarter:
Redskins 14, Bucs 3
We'll allow a measley feildgoal... <_<
2nd Quarter:
Redskins 17, Bucs 3
We got back the FG --a 47yrder at that!
HALFTIME
An interesting factoid: The Redskins Hall of Fame headcoach is 12-0 in his playoff career when leading at the half.
Major.Stupidity - January 7, 2006 11:21 PM (GMT)
My Jaguars will be the Patriots come 7 O'Clock here in Wisconsin!!!! LETS GO JAGUARS!!!
MadBurgerMaker - January 7, 2006 11:32 PM (GMT)
The Skins are allowing Chris Simms to complete something like 80% of his passes, something that could possibly come back to haunt them later in the game (and maybe has already started, since the Bucs immediately got a TD in the 3rd quarter).
Lord Alameda - January 7, 2006 11:34 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I took Perry and Turner for a walk and when we got back it was 17-10 (skins) and the Skins are punting.
No worries. The Bucs won't get that cheap call at the end to cheat their way into the next round like they did to beat us earlier this season.

I dont know man...the Skins offense hasnt produced shit so far (93 total yards vs. 150 for the Bucs). Its been basically gifts from Tampa that has gotten them their points.
Im kinda neutral in this game, as I dont know who I want to see play Seattle in the 2nd round.
My team isnt anywhere near the playoffs this year....as a matter of fact, theyre as far from the playoffs as they could get.

I wonder how Leftwich will play after such a long layoff (not to mention a possibly not completely healed ankle). That guy's as tough as they come, but damn...
Lord Alameda - January 7, 2006 11:42 PM (GMT)
****ING BS!!!!
Another crap call by the refs to aid the Bucs against the Skins.
You see that BS 15 yard penatly? TOTALLY BLOWN, ...so bad you almost have to wonder if they are being paid by the BUCS!
Aight, appearantly, the word on the field is that the Skins player had spit in the face of the Bucs player. You can't see it on the replays, so we're only taking the refs word for it, though.
If that's the case, the dude should have been thrown out like he was.
If that's the case....
MadBurgerMaker - January 7, 2006 11:46 PM (GMT)
Relax. While it appeared to be a bad call, we have no idea what the guy actually said. Saying some things when a ref is listening like that will definately get you flagged, and they will generally give the guy who retaliates a break (assuming what they said was bad enough).
What I just caught while Im typing this is that the guy may have spit in Pittmans face. That wont fly when a ref is right there.

You obviously aren't a real sports fan!
Dude, this is the playoffs.
I will not relax! :P

Yes...Relax. Nothing came out of that Bucs drive anyway, 15 yard penalty or not (not to mention the Bucs immediately gave the 15 yards back on the return). And youre talking to a Houston Texans fan. Doesnt get anymore real than rooting for them. :D
Lord Alameda - January 8, 2006 12:00 AM (GMT)
Now Simms looks like he's in practice.
This is getting serious.
No time for relaxing now!

Lord Alameda - January 8, 2006 12:07 AM (GMT)
YEAH!!!!!!!!!
Stopped them at our 19 yard line on 4th and 1 with 7:35 to play in the game!!!
Play action....pffft. Shoulda given it to Alstat. What were the odds we would stop him on 3rd and 1 AND 4th and 1.
A HUGE sigh of relief here....but still no relaxing!

14 yard punt?!?!?
NM, Interception while I was posting this!!!!
Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah....Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah......Hey, Hey, Hey....Goooood-byyyyyeeee

Pffft. The Skins already brushed the Seahawks aside earlier this season.
Bring it. B)
(JK, should be a great game!)
Roosevelt - January 8, 2006 12:51 AM (GMT)
Yeah, you will probly win. The seahawks dont know CPR so they are prone to chokeing. Especially in the post season. Atleast if they lose its to a respectable team like the reds.

Ill be here next week, watching the Skins - Seahawks game. :D

This is good. Ive learned, after four years of being a Texans fan, not to get too worked up over things, no matter what your team (or its players...or the refs...or...whoever...) do to raise your blood pressure and get you pissed off. ;)
One thing Ill be watching in next weeks game is the Redskins offense. If they dotn get their shit together, they may have some bigtime problems with the Seahawks. Same thing with the defense. They won the game, but then again, Chris Simms and Cadillac Williams cant really compare to Matt Hasselbeck and Shawn Alexander (at least not yet..Simms looked pretty damn good for alot of the game, and Williams is a future pro bowler for sure).

Here's quite possibly the greatest QB RB combo of the last ten years.

Eddie George and of Course
Steve McNair
MadBurgerMaker - January 8, 2006 02:00 AM (GMT)
They should still be wearing Oilers Luv ya Blue. Death to the Titans.
Kscott - January 8, 2006 02:02 AM (GMT)
hicks, no way..
I think manning & james are the best Q/RB combo, atleast right now..

Hm, speaking of RB/QB combos and the Oilers...Its too bad Warren Moon and Earl Campbell didnt play together for very long....
Edit: Oh..and Hicks...These are much better pictures of those two:

We'd have had a super bowl ring, but somebody just couldt get ONE yard closer to that goal line back in '99. worst superbowl of my life....how is it my teams can somehow get to the superbowl or world series and just get beaten....

muahhahaha
One yard.
Ok, I'll be nice and stop. :P

EDIT....BAHAHAHAHA Carolina Panthers vs NY Giants
Halftime 10-0 Panthers!
End of 3rd, Panthers 17, Giants 0 :D
therussian91 - January 8, 2006 08:12 PM (GMT)
My God. We're owning them! Manning is totally being shut down. He just passed an interception (his second or third), and they've commited to a running game which is totally useless. Tiki Barber is getting no space whatsoever to run. 17-0, and I thought we were going to lose. Steve Smith is a beast.
Sorry, I meant 20-0 :P
Lord Alameda - January 8, 2006 08:14 PM (GMT)
Bahahahah 20-0!!! :D
Go Panthers! (I don't like them, but I hate the Giants more lol)
therussian91 - January 8, 2006 08:41 PM (GMT)
23-0
Can you say SHUTOUT?!?!
Lord Alameda - January 8, 2006 08:43 PM (GMT)
I'm stunned. Maybe not as stunned as the 50 thousand fans at Giant's Stadium (haha) but man, I never expected the Panthers to hand the Giants their asses.
WTG Carolina.
This means that the Washington Redskins are the only remaining NFC East team, which means we should be the NFC East champs! :P
therussian91 - January 8, 2006 08:50 PM (GMT)
Damn straight. Looks like we have a chance! (or not)

Seattle is going to be tough.
But I think the Skins can beat them again like they did earlier this season.
